Wait till you see the make of the Tunze 9002. cheap flimsy plastic casing. But hey, it does its job well. Yes it is rather water level sensitive. I do not have a ATO but manually top up the water in my 1.5 ft cube 2x a day. The Performance is good though it does leak some micro bubbles into my tank. If I ever change my skimmer, it will be just for the MCE 600.

I think it is reasonable for a 6 month old unit. PM him to negotiate pls. another reefer is selling at about 300 for the MCE 600 just last week I think. Search the pasar malam.

New update from MaxSpect: According to the official data from Cree, the lumen maintenance of XP-G LEDs will be greater than 70% after 50000 hours. BTW, just heard from MaxSpect that they do not provide Cree royal blue LEDs for now as CREE royal blue XP-G are not available yet.

I have checked with MaxSpect. The lifespan I have indicated in my earlier post is good for temperature up to 60 deg cel. So running at 45 will not shorten the lifespan of the LEDs but it will be good if you can try to lower it down.

I saw that your placed a plastic cover there. - what time does your MH switch on? hopefully it is in the evening/ night. - I have not done the maths but I am suspecting 1/4HP is kinda under powered for your tank. Especially an outdoor one. - try monitoring how long it takes for your chiller to come on and cut off in the afternoon. I am suspecting it could be very very long. usually it should come on for about 10 - 15 mins only.
