Hi, No wonder LKY is so worried about our population aging.... hmmm, do it while you are young. It's much much more taxing taking care of babies than fish. Limpc

hello all, From all the postings, you all are a bunch of young lucky chaps. Still got time for modelling, whether catwalking, or on bed, or real modelling. Use to do that decades ago, except catwalking lah. In my days (u know in Hokkien, police wear bermudas era), catwalking only for ladies, for man, damn Ah Kwa man. My life outside reef aqaurium staring ... hmmmmm. Is there one ??? Hardly even have enough time for my kids. Of course not taken up by my aquarium hobby lah, it's my work. In fact, right now I'm sending this post from Tokyo. If all my free time spent on aquarium, for sure, my wife will hold all the livestock in the tank as hostages. Limpc

Hi, WH is the brand name. You can find more info from this URL: http://www.hw-wiegandt.de/index.html Limpc.

Hi all, I'm using products from WH. I'm adding (weekly or fortnightly) for Bio, Strontium, Mira (trace element) and Iodine. Dont know if these really enhances the aquarium but anyway my livestocks look happy. Got a little doubt over my tank's calcium level. Every test I made showed the optimum level of about 450ppm. So, I've yet to add Calcium supplement. Limpc.

Hi, Got a couple of experience to share. 1. Saw one of which picking up feeding shrimp from the sand bed. 2. Once, I overturn a starfish and place one small piece of shrimp nnto its mouth. Soon, it swallop the whole piece. Limpc

Not careful, you will end up with "Kiam he", salted fish. Talk about "in thing", did you guys read the article about how they enhance the color of KOI. damn bloody cruel. Limpc

Hi all, 2 questions: 1. I have my light turn on for about 12 hours per day. My light is a combination of PLs and FLs. Do I switch off all light after the 12 hours or should keep the actinic on ? 2. Besides the enhancing the appearance of the aquarium with actinic, does it serves any purpose in terms of coral upkeeping ? Thanks for any feedback. Rgds, Limpc

Damn, first was pest anemone, then a "colored" anemone .... How then to tell if they are real "yellow" anemone ? Or in the nature reef, is there really a yellow anemone ? Thanks for all the enlightenment. Limpc
-
Hi, How much is it ? Use to have a totally yellow anemone but died within a month. Maybe at that time my system was no stable yet. thanks. Limpc

damn, you mean they sold me pests for $10.00. But when these rock anemone extend their bodies, they really look like crysanthemun (spelling ?) flower in the tank. Quite nice though. This weekend going to hunt for those pinkish colored anemone. Anyone seen them lately ? Sorry dun know all the actual and biological name of the sea creatures. To moderators, may be a good idea to have a quick reference guide in this club with pictures and its common and biological name and all savvy members can contribute. Better get back to work now. bye. Thanks for the tips on powerhead. Need to be more careful next time. BTW, anyone recognise these ..... are these anemone ?? No clown fish dares to go near them ....

Well, let's start with my story first. A sad one though and it happened just last Sunday or rather yesterday. My family went to a weekend holiday and when we returned, half of my anemone was stuck in the power head. Poor chap was MINCED! Got to spend hours to suck out the bits and pieces of luminous tenacles. This anemone was with me for 6 months and was really healthy and happy in the tank. Dont know the exact name, but the tip of the tenacles are glowing light green in color while the main body is white. Maybe the anemone missed us and committed suicide. Anyway, life still goes on and this weekend I have to go on shopping trip for a new house for my tomato clown. Question is how do I prevent my next anemone from commiting suicide. Lim.
