i suspect bubbles too.. maybe the overflow down to the sump, usually there's a lot of bubbles which spew out a fine mist of water droplets... What I do is i cover the 1st compartment with clear plastic bags... no more mist escapes...

i think the general trend is to just feed them what u think is enough.. u cannot judge by how "hungry" the fishes look because they will always want more food... but for mine it seems like when they are more or less full they won't eat anymore.. I use ocean nutirtion flakes...

just leave it in the tank for a couple of weeks along with some live ones loh... best if you can bring the rocks over to some clean beach (maybe not in singapore) dump it into the ocean, leave for a few weeks then bring it back up...

i have a tuxedo urchin which helps keep my coraline in check... anyway bro, just like what they said, keep ur Ca, Mg, kH levels optimium, pump in some lights, get a coraline covered object (rock or whatever) from a fellow reefer, scrape the coraline off and dump it into ur tank to seed it...

Hi guys, I just bought an Ablerex UPS rated 300W 500KVA... using it to power 2 small pumps so that my tank won't die.. added up I think the pumps are rated about 150W at most... Problem is, after I charged the UPS overnight and I turn off the power, the battery cuts in for 1-2mins then dies off. Subsequently I cannot even turn the UPS back on until many multiple tries later. This happened to both units that I had. Am I doing something wrong? Already contacted the Ablerex guys about this still pending. Thought some of you guys might know better. Thanks! Ervine

actually I don't really mind him getting 20k per month as income, i suppose his job should be rather taxing.. I don't mind him flying first class or whatever or his gold taps, etc etc etc.... but 12 mth bonus???? Who the HECK gets 12 mths??? I know of tons of people who didn't even get 1 month let alone 12!!... and if it wasn't him who authorised the bonus, i.e. it was the board of directors, then we should all look into how much each of them recieved as well... later everyone in the board took home 12 mth bonus how? To think that I still donate $6 a mth even though my bank account has plummented below $20 multiple times over the past 2-3yrs....

Yeap there will be a huge megamall in the next 5-10 years.. not to mention it's an interchange for the circle line.. confirm property prices go up... serangoon central itself u can get most things quite conveniently (less reef stuff)... that's why so many condos sprung up around the area... I also stay and work 5-10mins walk from serangoon MRT... And if you are getting the old HDBs there, they are pretty spatious (blocks not as packed together) as compared to newer estates...
