  1. all the best... make sure u go in with a positive attitude and time will pass A LOT faster...
  2. when u starting? Mine is a tiny company (erm.. just me actually) that deals with photography and design if you are interested haha...
  3. me forgot which batch liao.. but I also from SOP but attached to the admin side... but I when I left they were just about to move to the new camp...
  4. yeah me also MP loh... but last time never do MP work one haha.. whole day do paperwork... now also donno posted to become what... shrug
  5. not if u are self-employed and need to run the business leh.. haha.. aiyah see how lah when the time comes
  6. not so soon.. probably next year then start.. hopefully will never start... u know for us MP I've seen my platoon mates go back to reservist to do guard duty the gates... sheesh...
  7. the media seems to have a way of painting a pretty picture over a convicted criminal...
  8. but nowadays after years of rest not that much pain anymore.. it was back then during NS days which hurt like hell.. now still a bit sore but no more sharp pain... I was also referred to specialist leh but the NUH specialists was REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY lousy... wanted to give him a tight slap for being so arrogant... I went for x-ray which showed nothing, then went for another type of radioactive scan... while doing that the radiologist was looking at it and saying "your shins hurt ah?" which means can see something in the results lah.. went back to the specialist he say he cannot see anything.. too bad wth right?
  9. reservist briefing... yah prob going 1st transport as MP...
  10. wah like that still messy meh?? I thought already not too bad.. u should have seen it a while ago.. really like war zone... I don't want to cover the bottom just yet.. I like being able to see everything actually also more aeration is a good thing... keeps the tank cooler as compared to walling all that heat inside... I've been itching to upgrade the sump for ages as well as the hood... but I have a lot of other more pressing areas of my life which require dough... so no choice have to make do with it for now...
  11. actually i think sand is an option not a requirement.. if you ask me I think should do w/o the sand.. rather just have a PVC rack with some eggcrate inside it for the macro algae to cling onto... easier to clean the refugium... what type of macro algae to put in... good question... the one that has survived for me is a small leafed type of calepura... I didn't buy it.. it some how found its way there while all other types of macro algae didn't make it... I've not tried cheato though... heard it's good... Other than that u just need a light I guess.. and moderate flow thru the refugium...
  12. it's fine to use it.. just make sure u replace it often...
  13. wah.. how thick is your algae? I usually scrape mine off once it becomes too obvious.. I think yours must look like one coating of paint already?
  14. REALLY??? Sh*t man all the stupid specialist X-ray for nothing??? So what should I be telling them? What specialist did u go to and how much did it cost?
  15. Okie thanks bros... i think I know the way already.. now just a matter of what unit am I going to.. was told to report to sembawang camp but no details... I don even have a unit to begin with.. shrug... will see tomorrow...
  16. last time I saw them was at reborn.... but that was very long ago.. can call them to ask?
  17. yeah I have a kalk reactor hooked up to my auto-top up... but I also dose calcium and kH buffers occasionally... realised that after I dosed the bubble started to shrink considerably...
  18. Yeah from Tekong... hm.. I always thought it was just an urban legend...
  19. wah can wait till they grow big big then BBQ time!!
  20. You can see my refugium/sump in my tank thread here.. http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=11253 IMO yes it's benificial.. there's nothing which beats organic filtration simply because it can soak up nutrients like a sponge... not to mention u probably will have a healthy population of pods growing in the refugium... Also, no costly recharing fees.. in fact it's the only filter "media" that self-replenishes!!!
  21. found out the problem... calcium levels were abnormally high due to overdose... did a water change now bubble back to it's perky self again...
  22. If you are talking about newly mixed salt water then some people aerate it overnight to make sure all the salt gets dissolved.. if not it might burn your LS if you pour undissolved salt into the tank.. If you are talking about just tap water, aeration is only supposed to remove chlorine from the water... IMO no need... but I use coralife salt which seems to dissolve just fine when I use a powerhead to "stir" the salt.. whole pail of saltwater dissolves in about 5mins...
