I did it the most economical (but risky) way... I used single pvc pipes for the stands, without any elbows or whatever... drilled a hole at the top then cable tied it to the eggcrates... i.e. the whole structure is only vertical pipes and horizontal egg crate, no elbows or whatever to form a proper stool... I then shoved the pipes into the DSB (much like how piling works)... the DSB then holds the vertical pipes in place which in place holds the eggcrate in place... it's a little shakey but otherwise has been holding my rocks up...

Used to have a table fan blowing at my tank... never hit above 30.. not even on the hottest of days and this is when I have 250W on my 55gal...

just make sure u don't install funny software, like kaz** or whatever... a lot of them are adware...

Not to mention u don't know how old this seawater is... might be so old that there is microscopic dieoff...

If u didn't know some of the "luohan fishtank fires" were not caused by DIY stuff but rather store bought things.... So is buying off the shelf safer?

Lights are pretty safe if you ask me... FL, PL, T5 esp.. only MH perhaps a bit more risky.. anyways, those fires were more likely caused my lousy pumps and overloaded sockets than lights which catch fire.. (doubt this will ever happen!)

If i'm not wrong it actually has a 50% chance of turning in the opposite direction each time it's fired up thus resulting in a change of water flow direction right? how big ur tank btw? thinking of 1200 but I suspect it's too powerful for me coz I'll be using it to shoot across the width not length of my tank, which is 1.5ft

Yah victron does not do any wiring what... u gotta earth it urself, there's a spare screw in there or something, just wire the earth wire to that... As for the leak, as per our PMs I'm not too sure what could be wrong but I suspect it's to do with a tiny leak somewhere, check and recheck all metal parts, especially nuts and bolts connecting the parts to the box...

Hais.. more equipment... can I do it without the additional fan? Maybe run the ductwork sloping upwards to hot air rises to the outlet?
