  1. I booked the Paya Beach resort w/o full board (figured can just go over there and buy dinner or whatever)... $200 per pax for 4day 3 night going via coach then ferry... Leaving mid july... hopefully will be fun...

  5. Why see already sian? Looks good what
  6. I din keep track... but several hundred (<$1k) for my 55gal... I DIY a lot...
  7. Hm.. the picture makes it look almost fake
  8. Skimmer confirm enough.... seriously just put it below
  9. Very neat! But then I think the amount of water it can hold might be a little on the low side... Not too sure but I think mine is 5 or 10gals it can last my 55gal a week at most... also air driven
  10. below... definitely below... unless you want salt all over everything in a 1m radius... Dissolved oxygen can come in through the skimmer or overflow etc, more than enough...
  11. Great so I'll go book the paya beach one instead.... thanks man... can't wait for it
  12. Hi guys, Thinking of going to Tioman for a couple of days to take a break... anyone been there? Which resort should I go for ah the Perjaya Beach resort or the other one, also is it worth it to get the more expensive room or will the normal room be fine. Thanks, Ervine
  13. Hi guys, I bought the Alpha Premium golden pearls (5-50 microns) but I'm unsure as to how much of it to feed into my tank... coz mine is a mixed tank with mainly LPS rather than SPS... what's a good ball park figure? My tank's about 200l or 55gals... Thanks a bunch Ervine PS: Does this size of golden pearls also feed my clams or other filter feeders? Maybe maze brain or monti cap?
  14. Generally I think it's 2-3 degrees... depending on the surface area, wind speed, RH etc etc.. but generally around there lah... But topping up can be a hassle if not automated... for me I used a table fan to cool my 2.5ft tank with 250W MH.. nothing died... then when I turned off the fan to upgrade to a chiller the temp shot up above 30 in less than 15mins when it was usually around 29... lost a frag.. sigh
  15. I see i see... hope to see good results soon
  16. Eh.. if it's only mainy zoos in the tank then I think even a series of fans will be enough leh... zoos quite hardy....
  17. Probably need to give it some time to break in.... btw, how you connect the new tubes to your exisiting skimmer?
  18. You can save a heck of a lot of money if you set up PVC racks... my 55gal only uses something like 10-15kgs of LR.... But the racks have to be planned well, I didn't plan mine very well lah... forgot to take into account the size of the rocks... but heck lah saved me a crap load of money buying rocks.... Also good because you can ensure less dead spots in your tank... my fishes love swimming into the void created by the racks....
  19. Hm... can't see clearly but it looks like the bubbles are quite big leh....
  20. Well I managed to get my 2nd hand CL450 at $150 after a long long long wait... so yes it is possible but it's DAMN loud... aiyah at that price "mai hiam".... For such a small tank, assuming w/o MH lights just use a fan and top up water...
  21. i was quoted 30+ for ball types.... where u get urs?
  22. Wah lau not fair siah... I rotted away for 2.5 years man... utter waste of my time... crucial for the nation's defence but freaking waste of an individual's time...
