Agreed... plan well and it should take you only one weekend (with a helper perhaps)... It took me 2 nights to build mine... I rushed the laminating so it turned out like sh*t.... laminate nicely, you'll enjoy the fruits of ur labour...

I know this might sound weird.. But I want to borrow a 250W or 400W MH set (6500k or 10000k or no bulb) pref with reflector... Reason is non-marine (that's why I put in kopi-tiam forum). I'm doing a short film with some hall mates and we couldn't secure any studio lights and we are on ultra low budget... so was wondering if anyone has a spare MH set to lend me for about 1.5 weeks... The victron 250W MH set would be great if not I would appreciate anything else.. If got studio lights to lend even better.. Let me know thanks!! BTW, willing to rent also for small amt... Thanks! I took replaced the modded impeller with the original one already... so the modded one is lying around, anyone wants to buy it over from me? Impeller only ah.. the maxijet is now used as a wavemaker (sawed off the output nozzle)

Erm.. I'm actually thinking of using 10k T5s to improve the lighting from my 20k 250W BLV... so it's the other way around I guess... I think my 20k BLV isn't strong enough for my corals...

tried that.. once I reduced the water output the venturi stopped working coz the water speed became too slow...

I just tried it on my 2011... same problem arised... bottom half super dense, top half hardly any bubbles...

Modding it quite straight forward lah, no brainer one.. just rip out the venturi, stuff a tube to replace it, tube goes to "needlewheel" pump... Problem is it's DAMN hard to stuff the tube over the given elbow.. DAMN hard.. I think I tried for 1/2 an hour man..

Here's the skimmer... hais.. see the problem with the bubble density?? Darn... How to solve how to solve?? BTW, skimmer only on 2nd or 3rd day haven't broken in yet...
