for air tubing size check valves got... ball valves never hear before.. for check valves just go bigger LFSs should have liao... it's basically a plastic thing with some rubber inside, some have a spring inside..

get bigger fans man.. CPU fans are puny!... I run a 12V 4" fan and it moves A LOT of air.. even more than an AC one of the same size... strange...

*DEEP SIGH* After several days of trying to tweak the skimmer into a pinwheel driven one I've given up... somehow the venturi is creating higher bubble density than the pinwheel... Maybe it's the way I made the venturi intake or something.. shrug.. Oh well.. never try, never know...

Hm.. 150W for a 3x1.5x2 is a little on the low side, more so if you switch over to 20k... my 2.5x1.5x2 uses 250W of 20k and 2x24W of 10k T5s... I was originally running 250W of 20k MH only and the corals (LPS) were OKAY but not that super.. made the upgrade recently so still waiting for results...

Hi guys, I just bought a maxijet 1200, realised it was not suitable for my skimmer so now selling it again. I think if the distance is horizontal distance not that bad, if ur hose going to go vertically then problematic... but not sure abt macro skimmers though...

give more details leh... what type of stand, how thick the glass, width, height, stand height, made of what material, eurobracing, etc etc...

Yup I broke off one dead head from a pair... that was almost 2 years ago, now the remaining head has already split into two again... I broke it off with my bare hands actually, won't advise this because you might accidentally break off the healthy portion... My clown also likes to host in the hammer but then the hammer doesn't seem to even notice...

Sand looks nice what... but I've seen some people use broken pieces of live rock as a substrate but IMO that would be prone to detrius getting trapped in all the nooks and crannies...
