ooo.. care to share what u did and where it went wrong?

Hi guys, A bit silly question but do your LPSs open fully at times but at other times completely retract (almost completely) for no reason? Seems to happen to my hammer and bubbles... hammer more so recently Thanks, Ervine

where does ur skimmer output go into? straight into tank or into sump? If straight into tank then u only got a few options, sponge is one of them.. if u going into sump then u can always baffle it or use some filter wool to trap the air...

actually not very intense leh.. coz it's 20k... i love MH lighting coz there's that "shimmer" which u don't get with T5s... Anyway i doubt it's as intense as the sun.. i think if u put it up too close it's not so much the light that will kill but the heat... but so far no issues for me leh.. if anything I think i can do with more lights... and current.. and equipment.. and corals.. and... i think u get the picture

then u just pour into the main tank ah? not afraid some might not get eaten?

if i'm not wrong their toxins also attack other corals?

yups... business plan/idea is the MOST important.... without it you are bound for failure man.. no direction, no focus, sure die... for me my initial capital was $10k (we scrimped and saved like crazy) which even includes a shop, equipment, furniture etc... but we ran through the calculations many times to come up with this figure before we went out to look for investors and loans.

i don't think u can just estimate a capital based on nothing.. at least you need to know what kind of business or what industry or at least a general idea which way you are headed before starting anything. if you don't have an idea what to do then what's the point of thinking about how much money you need?

agreed purple pair more shy... if you have aggressive fishes in your tank your firefishes might end up starving to death cos they always hide and refuse to come out to eat.. another high fatality reason for firefishes is their jumping skills... even with 3 sides of my tank covered they still jumped out...
