What I don't understand is unless you are so specialised, who is going to stop these people from going to other suppliers outside of the circle? eg. I'm a designer... during the networking meeting I quote $X... the person I'm selling to goes OUTSIDE the circle and asks another designer who quotes him $(X/2) then it doesn't work liao what..

yah loh... i don't quite understand the logic of selling your company/product/service to the SAME GROUP of people every single week... makes no logical sense to me... yes they might pass on your contact but still who would really sell/market for you if they have nothing to gain from it themselves? sounds like a scam but I'm not sure...

Hi guys, Was introduced to a networking breakfast (7 freaking 30 in the morning.. i usually sleep at 4-5am) today and was observing how the group actually functioned. While referals were being passed around I have my doubts about this whole system. Basically u have to pay ###### dollars to sign up for a whole year, then during these meetings you get to interact with various players in other fields with which they would refer your businesses here and there... like what goes around comes around thing... But I donno.. I'm always super skeptical about such things... Anyone else here can testify for or against such networking breakfasts? Thanks Erv.

wah lau then why buy LR? the whole purpose of buying LIVE rock over DEAD rock is that there are microorganisms and bio-diversity already there... that's something money can't buy man... (figuratively).. Please don't cook, dip in FW (for long), bleach or other wise kill an already live rock... if you want then just go buy some dead rock cheaper and saves u the trouble of killing of all the good (and some bad) stuff on the rocks

my number 1 tip for you... have an external flash (not shoe mounted flash)... with that it's easy to really freeze all movement in your tank, then everything else is like taking a normal photo liao...

i'm one of those who gave up a piece of paper (or in the process of giving up a better paper) in order to pursue his passion/dreams.. and I must say it ain't easy... especially so when you have friends around you earning many many more times what you earn... (for me it's just about zero income for now)... not to mention the pressure from your family and gf to earn money... and all people in the creative field will know that money and art seldom mix well... everyone (esp singaporeans perhaps) want cheap and good things.. everything cheap and good, no one can appreciate modestly priced and good anymore... but when things get too cheap, how can an artist sustain himself? but heck it.. i'm a lot happier now than I was before... so who's the one who has the last laugh?
