  1. ah.. interesting.. but does it roam all around your tank or just stay in one spot?
  2. Hi guys, Just got my seahare today.. and i must say it's quite sluggish, looks almost like it's sleeping.. it roamed once around the tank, then settled next to some zoos and stopped there... I thought it was dead/dying, then when I was scrapping algae it "woke up", went for a short walk (crawl?), then went back to it's original position and it's been lying there ever since... What u guys think? Ervine
  3. this is not as bad as the India "DIY Pepsi factory"....
  4. Ok i had a problem like this before... 1st month bill came in $150++ (not my house, my shop) 2nd month ZERO (actually negative) 3rd month $14 My brother told me it's coz PUB lazy buggers don't always take actual meter readings, sometimes they estimate based on previous usage. So if they overcharge you for one month they will deduct the "extras" in the next month... Anyone can confim this?
  5. i asked the locals they also donno... pointed me to a "pets market" which is like worse than serangoon north ave 2 area... so unless I missed out some hidden area in Shanghai, then there's really nothing much to look forward to... btw.. possible I missed it out.. go check with your shanghainese friends....
  6. I don't think you can just rip out an exisiting UPS's battery and replace it with a deep charge battery right? Some of those batteries require rather big dedicated chargers. As for the true sine wave, it's ESSENTIAL... i blew 2 UPS by running magnetic pumps on them... luckily the manufacturer replaced it and upgraded it for me for free... I'm using an Ablerex btw... lasts me abt 20mins for 2 small pumps (total abt 70W)
  7. agreed... also if you have recirculating needle wheels, the needle wheels might end up ###### in too much bubbles causing it to run close to dry.... so unless your recirculating needlewheel's intake is much lower than maybe still possible
  8. Ahh... that's when "rich dad poor dad's" live off your parents as long as you can comes into play!!! stay with parents for as long as you can... it'll be a little sad for your wife and kids but think of all the money you'll save!!!
  9. didn't anyone read "rich dad, poor dad"? Was one of his stratergies to live off your parents as long as you possibly can? Also, buying a house and a car in singapore is probably the no. 1 killer of financial freedom IMO... Even you earn a decent salary, at the end of the day you only take home a small fraction of your income.. in the end can never save up enough to do any proper investments to make your money grow...
  10. Huh? Is that even true?? If your kid goes to the local uni at most you'll be paying what 20-50k? how to end up at 0.5mil?? Go abroad? If no money to send abroad then take scholarship loh.. if no money for scholarship then stay here in Singapore loh...
  11. i spent some time looking (1-2days) while I was there but couldn't find anything worth recommending...
  12. host in singapore bro.. if hosted in US the lag might be quite jialat at times... not to mention technical support is hard to reach...

  14. hm... looks almost the same leh.. in fact it looks as if the camera's exposure just changed.. or is it my eyes...
  15. Huh stand??? Wah cannot lah... I sometimes work 12hrs straight infront of the computer how to stand? what's the correct posture anyways?
  16. Hi guys, My job requires me to use the computer a lot... not only mouse and keyboad, also got pen tablet... as a result of years or months of this, my right wrist (the outer portion) has started to hurt more and more... After the pain started to travel up into my hand and down my forearm I decided to go see tie da yi shen... he helped me pop something back.. other than that there is still still has this dull pain... Anyone else suffers from such ailments and have found remedies? Ervine
