i have a tuxedo urchin that chows down on coraline algae on the glass.. but it still grows back... the best way is just to scrape it off... if you find a credit card is too difficult use a razor blade but with care...

i'm also using a sawn off maxi attached to a timer... only problem is that even with it sawn off I still find the flow is a little too concentrated.. would prefer a wider angle..

yup i noticed the effects already... some rocks stripped bare of the horrible algae.. but I realised it doesn't attack the larger clumps... only the still baby clumps...

my mistake.. just saw it chomp down on a patch of hair algae.. woohoos.. a natural enemy (other than me and my toothbrush) to the algae that's been plaguing my tank..

agreed.. that's the wrong way to use carbon man... in any case I don't know how crystal clear you want your water to be or how dusty is it now... but I'm sure every tank will have some particles fluttering around... for me I use a small piece of filter wool...

have you seen it munch on hair algae? mine looks like it's only after green spot on the glass...

i guess they don't believe that the grass (or algae?) is greener on the other side of the fence? hehe...

thanks bro.. i managed to adjust everything to what you have suggested.. hopefully this will work.. I suspect there might be another reason.. u see I run 2 monitors (I do a lot of graphic work) but the main monitor is at an angle... to the keyboard which is another reason I suspect has contributed more to the problem... Anyone knows where to get good computer tables?
