i won't advise you to run your tubes on an incorrect ballast... it's like driving a car with the wrong engine...

dude where u want to go largely also depends on how much u want to spend leh... If ur budget is $10 then go Jalan Kayu is a good idea... if more then can go other places.. So u got a budget?

Hi bros, Was staring at my fishtank and I realised I have been wondering how my starfishs eats for quite some time now but somehow never went to find an answer... I can't see any mouth or anything else that resembles a mouth... does it even have a mouth? Hm...

yup u can change it, just need to swap the ballast... while doing so need to check if the new balast can fit in or not...

i would say it's a big no no... I even wonder how it manages to hold up a FW tank in the first place! if you want can add on some additional bracing but best is to re-do the whole cabinet... or even better, redo the whole tank...

how about u try to buy one of them motion sensor door chime/alarms from a DIY shop.. place it where the cat usually does it's dirty deed... so when it comes back some sounds will scare it away.. assuming it's a scardy cat... hehe

but earn so much for what? in the end cannot bring to ur grave also... I rather have an enriching life full of wonderful experiences than one full of memories of work only.... but then again, some people love their work.. if so then it's a different story

nice FW tank! u should see mine... it's a real jungle.. an unkept jungle!! Anyway if you intend to make the change take note of your cabinet.. those chipboard cabinets are risky for marine tanks coz marine tanks tend to be a lot heavier... Not to mention salt water will kill your chipboard...

eh can try car repair shops? they MIGHT have it... i'm not too sure myself coz I using the relay to power an AC pump... I believe one of our reefers has done it...

why not just get a DC pump? If you do then it's really easy... if i'm not wrong car windscreen wipers use DC water pumps (tiny ones)
