drill the PVC pipe, then cable tie it.... I believe some people drill their pipes here and there just to allow some water to pass through.. not too sure about this but I did it none the less.. One thing though, it's easy to cover the top of the eggcrates but I have a horrible time trying to cover the sides.. how do you guys do it?

Hi guys, I have a DIY auto-top up and I've recently upgraded the tank... anyway here's my problem, after upgrading, the water in the sump is a lot more "turbulent" thus my float switch turns on and off due to the wave action in the sump... Anybody has any ideas how to get rid of this wave action? (very minimal but still present...) Thanks! Ervine

How about using the exisiting impeller blades, heat them and bend them to form a propeller? I know of some pumps which can reverse the flow, thus drawing water from the outlet and pushing it from the inlet... Long shot...

Go sim lim buy a small (those really small) DC fans, rip out the electronics and there u have your propeller... Only problem is that the output might be slowed down.. How exactly does the stream work anyways?
