i remember in RC web page there is a discussion about this and lot of expert reefers are using this method i also use in my second chamber to stabilize ph being using that for almost a year and ppl do say they leach some phosphate but the amout is very negligible

i have pink calice doubled its size in last 6 months it prefers medium intensity lighting but calice can change its colors quite fast with different lighting imo .
