Next you connect your LED rung positive cable to the positive terminal of the constant current driver and the negative cable of the LED rung to the negative terminal of the constant current driver Picture of both positive and negative cable from your LED rung

After mounting all the LED with M2 screws(2 screws per star).(Remember to apply a thin layer of thermal cream or thermal tape before mounting the star) Divide your led into smaller rung of 5 to 9 leds per rung and wire them correctly. Remember to be careful with the + ve and - ve terminal mark on the star Refer to above post 365

Mount your star LED on the aluminium plate or heat sink at 3 inch interval (both vertical and horizontal)if your tank is less than 20 inch high. And 2 to 2.5 inch interval if your tank is more than 20 inch high

Generally most Bros will select the LED on star PCB If you select LED on star PCB the next thing you have to find an aluminium plate

The round PCB is 43 mm whilst the star is only 20 mm.

The cost difference is P4 White (W42182) no star pcb(6.5k – 7k) U1 rank - : S$9.20 P4 White (W42182) round pcb(6.5k – 7k) U1 rank - : S$11.20

Star PCB Advantages – Cheaper compared to the round pcb. Disadvantages – Cannot sit flatly on the led and pcb when wires are soldered. Need to cut slot on the base of the lens holder in order to fit nicely. Heat dissipation not as good compared to bigger pcb. More difficult to mount compared to round pcb.

Round pcb Advantages – Can mount lens flatly onto the pcb. Wires can be connected without interfering with the lens holder. Better heat dissipation. Easier for mounting. Disadvantages – Higher price. Higher than star pcb

Star pcb and Round PCB

For Bros who had place order for P4 U rank white LED with star PCB they are available only next month. This is update from Seoul semicon. However if you need them now I have an alternative solution for you to consider. It cost a bit more but with the advantage of bigger PCB and hence can dissipate heat better You can also mount the lens on LED without additional filing job. Read below posts for more detail

Bro, Sorry for the late reply.Was a bit busy last few days so miss all the message and email You do not connect the wall socket to your LED.It will blow off unless you are using AC LED. You need a LED power supply or a DC adaptor with constant current driver to drive any LED. Will try to take some picture tonite and update Cheers
