  2. Have good camera must try more. Your girl can be a good subject for you. Taking children picture is another great challenge
  3. The foto is soft when I magnify it. Maybe due to the wavemaker on Will try more and see how
  4. Something new to try. But still too early to tell. On the 100 mm side still ok. Have to try on the 200,300 and 400 mm side Its totally a different way of taking picture

This is for a very common question: Can I use resistor instead of constant current driver? Of course can but your leds life will be drastically reduce.Below is the explanation Resistors can work, but they offer no protection. They don't protect against thermal runaway or changes in input voltage. They are also horribly inefficient, and cannot adapt to variations in input voltage. Considering how much the LEDs cost, I'd think that you would want to protect them. Anyway, they offer a much easier way to dim the LEDs. The biggest issue with resistors is that they are not smart. Setting the current with a resistor relies on two things; the voltage drop accross the LEDs, and the input voltage from the power supply. Both have to be rock solid steady for a resistor to work perfectly. Neither will be though. The voltage drop across the LED changes as a result of heat, and will fluctuate slightly during it's operation. The power supply can also fluctuate slightly based on changes in voltage at the wall, which you can't control. An example would be something like this: If the voltage is12v from the power supply, 1ohm 1W resistor in series, and the LED voltage drop on each LED drops to 3.5v, you are now running at 1.5A. While that's fine for a while, the additional heat causes the voltage to drop even more, increasing the current. This is thermal runaway, and it will kill LEDs. It's an exagerated example, but it happens. Even a simple transistor based linear regulator will keep the current in check better than a resistor

Singapore market still very small. Price still a big issue here. Maybe a few years later when all the government heavily sponsor projects start running then all the big players will be in.
  7. Just try using my 100-400 to try and snap some photo. Try at 100 setting. Let the wavemakers continue running Take a few pictures. This is one of them
  8. Just complete Silicon the filter chamber. Will just leaveit to cure and do a leak test tomorrow
  9. That is a great lens. But that is history to me now. Sold it many years ago
  10. Bro, You have a great camera. What a waste just using point and shot. Faster go to other mode and play with your DSLR. This is digital so never mind the result good or bad.No film waste. No processing fee. Try till you happy
  11. So finally I decide to re silicon the chamber by myself. I remove all the existing silicon and remove the filter chamber
  12. After breakfast check the tank .Found a pool of water on the tank floor. So water from the filter chamber is leaking into the tank
  13. Today morning decide to drain out all the water. After draining out all the tank water I add water to the filter chamber. Cleanup and dry the tank and go for the breakfast
  14. There is something wrong with my cube 7. Big algae boom even after so many time waterchange. Kill 2 pairs of pecular ,1 sea hare and almost kill one of my green plate
  15. It is true. Need to share with other reefer
  16. 55 -200 mm give you a lot of freeplay. Should be easy to take a decent foto of your reef then a 50 mm. I will be trying out my 70 - 400 mm this few days. I just want to check if it is easier to usethen my 180 macro 50 F1.8 .That is a fanastic lens. Keep it at all cost Sori above is all my view only base on my personal experience.
  17. Bro, Yours is the astromer version or the other version

  19. What is 2) Spectrometer, $50? Sori for my poor knowledge
  20. Nikon original 50 F2.8? Very good lens. Can take very good foto. But to crop and get a good foto you need good lens, good light, good camera man. Not easy. I prefer something from 70 to 200 where there is a lot of ground to play. Sometime too close very hard to take what we want.
  21. Go for the controllable one if you can afford. 6000,6100,6101 or 6105
  22. Most of the macro is slow as compare to other lens. Maybe macro are design for stationary or slow moving object. And many a time need a flash to freeze the object. Maybe a zoom lens with converter can do the job better. Will try out when I have the time. Above is only my comment maybe other do not face the same problem as me.
  23. You want fast result go for sulphur denitrator Others all take time to see result.
