2 white 2 blue is around 14k

Look like many people had this cyano recently. I got it about 3 months ago. Now under control. All these while my salifert PO4 test read zero. But if you use Hanna tester it read around 0.8 So be careful what your test kit read.

This is a cabinet light .Don`t think your LS will like it.

To decide what LED to use you must know what you are going to keep. How much light you need in order to keep them.(First taking MH as a reference) What is your tank size especially the height.

Get it from internet. And get from reliable source.

LED let you have the color you need at any area in your tank.It is more flexible and the combination is more then your T5. If you make a wrong choice just remove the LED that you think has the wrong color and put one of the color you need any thing.

Can post a picture of the LED in use? Many LED in SLT is just for lighting up purpose. They are not good for plant, or LPS or SPS tank. Prolong use will result in a tank of unhealthy LPS or SPS or plant. Choose LED that have enough PAR value and intensity close to that of MH at least 12 inch from the LED. The smallest single LED should be at least 3 watt FYI

I don't think a 1 watt LED is of any use in an aquarium except for lighting up your cabinet.

What you mean by red algae? Is it red slime? If it is then you have PO4 issue. Whether is PO4 or NO3 your reading is far too high and acceptable. Both reading must be near zero

If it is strip led with build in constant current driver you only need a power adaptor.You do not need a LED driver. However if you are using single LED then you need to have a LED driver.

James is right. Do not use normal double side tape. Use the thermal double side tape. I have being using since day 1.I think I build my first LED light set in 2009 Till today also never drop out.

Connect the positive terminal of the power adaptor to the + sign on your led strip

If just zoas and mushrooms (But not those light demanding type) around 9 to 12 three watt led should be enough
