Finally all the rocks are in.

Had high NO3 in Sept.Salifert told me zero. But hair algae grow all over the tank. Finally got a reefer to help confirm my NO3 reading. It read 25 ppm. Do daily water change but don't do much help. Do weekly algae pucking. Still the same. Last week got Bio Pellet from a nice reefer. Hope it help. Will take the NO3 reading this few day and see how

The tank water start to smell the next day.(14/11/11) I take this as an indication that cycling has start Today(17/11/11) the smell of the tank water gone.Is it an indication ammonia has drop to zero or both ammonia and nitrite have drop to zero? Share you view base on your pass cycling experience

Take some measurement this morning. PH: 8.4 SG:1.022 Overflow still working ok. Add a hydroflo deflector at the return outlet to spread the flow more evenly Finally add a market prawn into the main tank to start the cycling.(13/11/11)
