What test kit you use for taking both reading? Do you use DI water or tap water for top up? Is your TDS reading for your top up water near zero?

Change water every week. Top up with DI water only. Ensure your DI water is close to zero ppm.

Do partial water change and throw away all the chemical mix. Do new chemical mix with DI water of TDS reading zero. Hope this will eliminate the algae grow over the next few weeks

Have to check your NO3 and PO4. And make sure they are zero with a reliable test kit. If you using salt mix then make sure you are using DI water with reading close to zero.

Yesterday do a TDS on my DI water. Shock the reading is 194. Do a resin change immediately. Measure again last nite. Reading now is zero. Look like this is one of the contributor to my tank algae for the last 2 months. Hope the damage is resolve with the resin change

Your NO3 is very high. Run biopellet and bring it close to zero before algae bloom

Hi Bro, So far when the NO3 went down to almost zero the star just disappear over one to 2 weeks. But once your NO3 go above 0.1 ppm you can start seeing stars all over the place.

Should be. Many time when Salifert read zero . A double check with the Red Sea read more then 10 ppm.
