  1. On the 9th Jan I come across this Today(9th Jan) we visit one of the most succesful reef run by triton system to understand more able reefing without water changeThe Triton Reef: A full portfolio of this illustrious set up | anampses femininus, display tank, ehsan dashti, germany, pseudanthias connelli, reef tank, tridacna gigas, triton, triton method | Coral, Marquee, News, Saltwater Fish| Reef Builders
  2. Hence I decide to stop water change. ( from 7th Jan)But need to monitor nitrate and phosphate.and of course the usual Alkanity and Calcium and magnesium.
  3. Randy Holmes stress: I believe that water changes are beneficial. I do not believe that they are the most useful way to reduce nitrate or phosphate (although they are much better than nothing), but they are a good way to reduce organics that are not readily skimmed or bound to activated carbon. So water change is the the only way to reduce nitrate or/and phosphate
  4. Come across this writeup by Randy Holmes on 7th Jan http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2005-10/rhf/
  5. Ya. When no wc. Have to keep close watch of the parameter.
  6. May be extend WC frequency to once a month? WC is also a way to train fish to adjust themself to some parameter swing. Read somewhere survival rate of fish in tank with wno wc is higher when something happen on water parameters. Not sure how truth is that.

  9. Usually if you are keeping fishes with your sps the fish poo is the food for your sps. First is learn how to keep your sps survive. Then how to color them up Be patient. Learn along the way. Any impulse action likely to bring harm then good
