2nd month of 2018. 13 plus month of no water change. Everything still ok. No major issue. Will continue with no water change. Now water is clean by power filter before return to display tank. (Glenn Fong method, Power filter) I might make some changes here after seeing the rollermat filter. This should be 2nd DIY for 2018. Welcome your comments or share.

If u plan your biological filter after your refugium all your particle matters will settle at your refugium. They are food source for your refugium

I just take from the freezer and throw the cubes into the feeder. After a minute or so it start to defrost and the wave will push it slowly through the mesh. Make my job easier and tank cleaner

Just go slow after you plan. You don't have to rush. Plan wat you want to keep and where you can setup your tank.. After that you will know how big a tank you can have. Wat type of tank you want? AIO, Shallow, tank with sump ,etc Basic equipments for most tank is a skimmer ,light,chiller,return pump, wavemaker. Others can add as you go along. Happy Reefing
