The LED spacing depend on your tank height. You can space from anything from 2 inch to 3 inch I alternate it just to see what is the light spread like. Nothing special

Bro, Chances of burning off your LED is very high unless you run at 50% of the rated current.Try to invest in a constant current driver or LED power supply as soon as you can

Bro, I think should be 24 in by 14 in by 16 in right? You can use that but that is usually for desk top testing. You can get a smaller version of constant current power supply unit for under S$50 I will PM you the number of LED you need assuming you want 20k light color. Regards Sherman

Bro, What is your tank size? Post #330 is for 1 ft by 1ft by 1 ft tank only For constant current driver I still do not have them manufacture as yet due to some technical issue with this new chip. What DC adaptor you have 24 v 2.5 A or what? And how many pieces Do you need aluminium mounting plate also? And do you have a light casing to mount the whole assembly? Lastly you just want all the parts or you want me to DIY the whole set for you Cheers

I have a total of 21 LEDs . I break them down into 3 groups. Each group is 7 LEDs in series. Each group is drive by one LED power supply or one DC adaptor with one constant current driver. The number of LEDs we connect in series is basr on the forward voltage and forward current of each LED. Each LED forward voltage is around 3 vdc. If you drive 1 LED you need around 5dc. Since I am using 24 DC adaptor I can drive up to 7 LEDs so I connect 7 LED in series

A rectifier is not a constant current circuit. It cannot ensure the current is stable under any voltage surge
