Just complete the LED light for the algae scrubber project. The Red and Blue LED Panel for algae scrubber
-
Last few days just test the first batch of LEDs on PCB from initial production. Do some tuning and will be running another batch next week. Also just complete the design of the PWM. Will be running the production concurrently. This morning just complete the algae scrubber LED light. Will post some picture later tonite

This driver connect directly to your wall socket or 230 vac. The output connect directly to your LED panel

For DIYers who are using LEDs on star PCB you can choose to get constant current driver for your LEDs with a DC adaptor of the require current or you can choose to get an AC input(230vac) and DC output LED driver (build constant current driver) MicroDrivers from www.ledsupply.com MultiDriver 8 can drive either 8 X 1W LEDs in series at 350mA, 16 X 1W LEDs in series/parallel at 350mA or up to 6 X 3W LEDs at 700mA. Price is around USD$31 each Or you can use the below constant driver of around the same spec of 6 x 3w LEDs at 680mA at S$28

Thread Closed. Thank You

Bro, Which part not working? Is the clock working? Does it on and off the output as per your program? If the above is working then the unit will work Sherman

I find sulpur easier and faster to get result. Deniball need a lot of time and patience to get result. Both are great But I choose sulphur as I am very busy
-
Its a timer use to control some pieces of equipments. I agree with Bro jyoon. If you connect the equipment direct (as it is now) you might face problem when need to do maintenace or when you decide to change that piece of equipment. Cheers

Yes. But for home and office use.

The tank overflow will flow along the half immersed netting . As the led grown light is still not ready I temporarily use a 13 w T5 to light the scrubber for 24 hours.
-
Remove the wool on the overflow section on 2/3/09 Attached a sewing net to the original egg crate that was use to support the wool Next place the egg crate so that half is above the water level and the other half still immersed in the sump water

I think maybe the strong sunlight is helping

The latest LED news: The Ostar Lighting LED, which will be launched on the market this summer, can provide sufficient light for a desk from a height of two meters, for example. Its small size also enables the creation of completely new lamp shapes. A lumen (lm) is the unit of measurement for the amount of light emitted by a light source. A 60-watt light bulb emits 730 lm, while a 50-watt halogen lamp has an output of approximately 900 lm. To achieve the 1,000 lm output for the tiny Ostar Lighting LED, the experts at Siemens’ Osram subsidiary employed a sophisticated system for high chip-packing density, whereby the researchers managed to integrate six high-performance LED lighting chips into the unit’s small housing. Each chip has an area of only one square millimeter, which makes for very concentrated overall luminosity. Different types of LEDs are used today in various areas, for example as background lighting in cell phone displays, as well as in car turn-signal lights, brake lights, and daytime running lights. The benefits are obvious: The diodes are extremely small and consume little energy because they efficiently convert electricity into light. The Ostar Lighting LED, for example, produces 75 lumens per watt at 350 milli-amperes of operating current — much more than an incandescent lamp, which only converts a fraction of the electricity supplied into light, with the rest lost as heat energy. In addition, LEDs contain no lead or mercury, which makes them very environmentally friendly. They also last around ten times longer than halogen lamps and 50 times longer than incandescent lamps, thereby helping to significantly reduce maintenance costs. For many years, however, LEDs were unsuited for room lighting applications because they weren’t bright enough. The Ostar Lighting LED marks a further step toward suitability for such applications. Osram has already supplied a Migros supermarket in the Swiss canton of St. Gallen with 18,000 Golden Dragon LEDs, which have a lower output than the Ostar Lighting units. These LEDs emit neither UV rays nor heat, which means they have virtually no negative impact on delicate grocery items such as milk, meat, fruit and vegetables. Source: Siemens

Different spec.As long as within spec than the life of LED no issue
