AC pump cannot stand the frequent on/off switching. I had many brands so far none last more then half a year. For wavebox it even worse you need to stop the pump and on back within very short period of time. I think hydor had come out with a DC pump. Correct me if I am wrong.

Bro, As you do not know how many LEDs we cannot actually tell you the type of LED is use. But you say 11 w over 2 ft, assuming 2 inch 1 LED, 24 inch means there there are around 12 LEDs.(I assume each strip is 11 w) A simple calculation show us that the LED use is less than 1 watt per LED.1 watt LED is useful for lighting up your cabinet and furniture only. For aquarium you need a 3 watt high power LED. I hope that give you a better idea
