This is one of the first fraq given to me by a nice reefer to test using high power leds in Feb 2009

Can SPS survive under high power Leds? Can it color up under High power Leds? Or only MH and T5HO can do the job? I am no expert in SPS keeping I start only 4 months ago after replacing parts of the T5HO light with High Power Leds Below are some of the update. Hope others who are using Leds can share your result

You are right? You need a good heat sink and fan to cool this 10 watt led. If your heatsink is warm then the life is ok. If the heatsink is burning.The led life shorten at very fast rate.
