So far I think sulphur denitrator is the most effective to remove the high nitrate -
No.I mean does the pump come with any rubber feet. Most of them have

Did you set your white balance? Most camera on auto white balance will give you pink ring effect for blue. You have to adjust white balance up from auto till you see the pink ring go away

Our eyes cannot really tell how many watts is the LEDs by looking at the brightness. But if you say 168 leds then I think is only 1/4 watt per LED at the most. If it is 1 watt LED ,168 LEDs need a very huge piece aluminium to disspipate off the heat generated.

Why SSC LED? Seoul Semiconductor’s LED is used for lighting products of Havells Sylvania, one of Europe’s largest lighting companies 30 Sep 09 â—‹ Havells Sylvania, one of Europe’s largest lighting companies, released Concord Stadium spotlight range using Seoul Semiconductor’s Z-Power LED P4 series Seoul Semiconductor (CEO Chung Hoon Lee, www.acriche.com), a world’s leading LED manufacturer, has recently announced that Havells Sylvania, one of Europe’s largest lighting companies, released Concord Stadium spotlight range using Seoul Semiconductor’s Z-Power LED P4 series products. The products of Havells Sylvania using P4 series are characterized by their innovative design, taking the form of sports stadium light. Two kinds of products are released, including Stadium PRO and Stadium EVO, spotlights with a high color rendering index(RA=93). Stadium PRO has been specifically designed for use within museums and galleries with an onboard dimmer system, long life time(50,000hrs), and no IR or UV, while ‘Stadium EVO is ideal for retail applications. Z-Power LED P4 series delivered to Havells Sylvania are respectively W42180 (Pure White), S42180 (Natural White), N42180 (Warm White) and 16 pieces are applied to each module. Combined with Seoul Semiconductor’s own phosphor technology, Z-Power LED P4 series have a higher luminous efficacy and reliability with improved brightness, and these products boast the world’s best luminous efficiency with one chip. They can be applied not only to general lighting fixtures but also to other various areas such as architecture lighting, decoration lighting, flashlights as well as cars. Very quiet and long lasting.I have one unit running for 5 years and another running for 2 years. So far no problem
-
All LEDs have life for 70,000 to 100,000 hrs if connected up as manufacturer recomendation. So I personally think 5 years is nothing.Right? No manufacturer of high power LED recomend that. If fact all specify and highlight that you have to ensure good, sufficient and appropiate heat dissipation if you want your LED life to be close to the manufacturer claim. So how to run LED without fan?

Go for Eheim or Ocean Runner
-
Most of the LEDs users experience that. In fact this is one project the Singapore Government is funding

Have not seen any manufacturers produces LEDs to meet the difference requirements so far.(Beam angle) In fact choice of beam angle is very limited. Most major LEDs manufacturers like Cree, Luxeon, SSC ,Osram, etc produce a range of lens for different application for their own LEDs. Most of these lens is easily available on most online store. Maybe LENS for LED is like Filter for camera LENS

Bro, You are right in some area. But the light intensity falls greatly as the distance from the LED increase.Same for all type of lighting. Worse still your light will also be bent from its initial path due to the difference in the air and water density. So you actually need lens to bring the light spread to a narrower beam to get the require intensity and PAR as your tank go deeper. The light spread might be there but the intensity and PAR may not be there.
