LPS and softies also benefit from it. Those with flourescent pigment the most.

If your KH drop is gradually and no spike I believe there is no immediate damage. But for long run I not sure any damage might occur

I am using.

Lower NO3 especially with lower PO4 less then 0.05 usually sps color very washout. SOfties and LPS all never inflate. U need to dose a lot of chemistry to make both SPS and LPS and softies happy. So I usually keep PO4 around 0.02 to 0.09. and NO3 around 10 to 25 ppm. With higher NO3 something no time to dose still ok. If NO3 too low and no time to dose most of the sps gone. LPS and softies all sad. This is my observation.

NO3 is require by livestock . Its a food for them. But excess will result in bad algae

NO3 is only 3ppm. Too far for my like. Now dosing KNO3 to bring it up to 15 to 20 ppm
