First we have Dastaco , then Pacific Sun introduce Calcfeeder Pro . Now Deltec have Twin Tech . All above are calcium reactor with a twist. Conventional Calcium Reactor use PH controller to control CO2 supply. These new calcium reactor uses float switch to control CO2 supply. Is these better and has less problem? Anyone is using them and like to share your experience?

KNO3 is potassium nitrate

For the refugium you must place before the skimmer . And you must dose iron and Nitrate into your fudge regularly

PO4 Aug reading

Many months forget to update. Now is August . So is 20.5 months of no water change. PO4 and NO3 is still within acceptable range

This is in my 2.5 ft new tank. Using AF reef salt. Start cycling on 30th Apr . without rock. Add rock on 22nd May Start adding livestock from 3rd of Jun Weekly PO4 and NO3 check. No water change since day 1. Control PO4 and NO3 with Phos minus and carbon in tea bag. Change every 3 days initially. Now 2 weekly. Also daily dose of bacteria and weekly dose of NO3.(My NO3 zero) Alternate day dose AF Build and Enerrgy, Amino and Vitality. Daily dose of AF 1,2,3. Weekly feed FM sprint plus Min S . For fish only feed pellet twice a day That is about all. Please note the tank now is full of hair algae especially the floor and overall glass. Hope these info is what you want to know. NO3 for the 2.5 ft was zero last nite. So I dose KNO3

So far corals are ok. And slowly coloring up. But still a lot of hair algae although slowly receding

Before you start vinegar dosing. Take your PO4 and NO3 reading first. Start with 1 ml. per day. On the 3rd day take both reading again. Is there any drop? If no increase dosage to 2 ml. daily. On the 7th day (from 1st time you start dosing) take both reading. Any drop in both? If no increase dosage to 3ml daily. Check both reading 7 days later. Any drop? No increase dosage to 4 ml daily. If any reading start to drop dose half the last dosage after that. Hope this help Make sure you running a skimmer if you decide to dose vinegar. If cynao appear dose bacteria like Bac7 or stability or any other
