Salifert for KH, CA and MG. For PO4 and NO3 experience zero reading but when using other test set actually reading is very much higher then zero. Hence if you need very good reading for NO3 and PO4 go for better test kit like Elos and Red Sea Pro series(Can,t remember the actual name) Check and feedback again tonite

If your NO3 is high then better do more regular water change. Say 10% every 2 days. At the same time add some clean up crews like turbo snail, abalone, sea hare,bristle tooth,etc. At the same time plug off as many of the hair algae as you can

I don't think it work. Even if it work it is only short term. Best is to ensure your NO3 and PO4 is near zero. And has a clean up crew to look after your tank

Have you check your NO3 and PO4? What is their reading?

There should be instruction that tell you how much sodium bicarbonate to add per litre of tank water Following them but do not overdose and make sure no drastic changes of more then 1/2 dkh per day. May be one or two week of continouous dosing to achieve your target spec
