The reefangel controller with a float switch control a dosing unit to top up water to the sump when water level drop.

Anthing above 50 is prone to algae growth later. Better to keep your DI water below 50.

Look like you are going for 1.5 ft width and 2 ft height. Its better to be 2 ft width and 1.5 ft height. 2ft width easier to scape your rock scape and 1.5 ft height easier to do maintenace and coral placement. because our limb is not so long

You can make use of your overflow to flow over the ATS to save some power. But you still need the light .

So you did not check the NSW for NO3 and PO4 before you top up into your tank. This is very risky. I learn my lesson. Even with DI water, I check and make sure NO3 and PO4 are near to zero before using them. Use to have this high NO3 problem that almost wipe out my whole tank last year

Most of them pass the requirement of 450 when new.

I using ATS for about 2 years. NO3 and PO4 is always near 0. Clearing of turf varies from tank to tank. I harvest every 6 weeks

KH controller will be even better. When KH down the doser will dose automatically. But so far never see any KH controller on market

Mushroom is the easier. Others is 50/50.
