Pasir Ris is the place to hunt for zoanthids. -
WYSIWYG, clearing it for $50. Collection in Marine Parade. Pic is taken with flash.
-
Pick healthy specimens, try to put them under good flow to get rid of all the detritus and algae film which grows on them. After 1-2 months they will open up nicely. This is how mine looks.

For sale 3 x 2 x 2 feet tank, 2 x 2 x 1 feet sump
FuEl replied to Travy's topic in Sell off/Pasar Malam Shop
It's a nicely designed tank, fishes unable to jump into overflow as the front of the overflow has a baffle which draws water in from below. The sump is also designed to accomodate deep sand bed/refugium. Wanted to get the tank but I am unable to find a space in my house for it. -

Done in Germany. You need big tanks to pair them if not you'll end up with tattered fish. -
I have 2 pairs of clownfish. 1) Amphiprion allardi. Female is 4", male is 2". Very stable, been through formalin treatment, been keeping for more than 6 months. Selling as I acquired a larger pair. Only asking for $70. 2) Amphiprion chrysopterus. Juvenile pair, white tail variant, both around 2". Stable and have been through formalin treatment. It is hard to obtain healthy specimens of this species. Asking for $70. Buyers should have well established tanks as these fish are a little more demanding with regards to water quality. Viewing can be arranged. Interested parties just pm me. Viewing will be at Marine Parade.

2 rare fish spotted at CF. Hint.. marine betta. -
Hi Digiman, For allardi and chrysopterus adults, one of the more reliable ways is to ask where the fish came from. If it came in with an African shipment, it is usually allardi as chrysopterus are not found in Africa. Second way, I don't know if other people can see it or it's just me, is that I look at the head. Somehow chrysopterus seems to have a more rounded head while allardi always seem to have a less convex, more sloping head. Another difference I notice is that the teeth is very prominent in adult chrysopterus, less so in allardi. A more subtle difference is the head, somehow the allardi always gives me the big head & small body kinda feel while the chrysopterus does not. For juveniles of the same size, a good way is to look at the blue hue on the stripes. Blue-stripe juveniles develop their blue much sooner than allardi. That said, many clownfish look similar when they are young. Perhaps the differences will become more obvious when they are a minimum 2 inches in size. At 2 inches, juvenile allardi usually have a white margin at the top of their tail fin. Blue-stripes at this size usually do not have this. Below is a pic of how a juvenile blue stripe might look like. For smaller individuals there might be a little black in the tail which will fade completely as they grow. http://www.reefhotspot.com/store/product_i...roducts_id=1013

Yes Bro. Once you see a chrysopterus you will not confuse them again. CF might have a few left in the middle row of tanks..Chrysopterus bars are more blue and they will not come in Africa shipments as they are found in Western Pacific. -

Many pictures of clownfish in the internet are also I.D wrongly. One of the more reliable sites for clownfish I.D would be: http://www.nhm.ku.edu/inverts/ebooks/ch2.html -

Nope it's not fuscocaudatus. Fusco tail is very white, much like allardi with a little bit of grey in it. It's a mature female chrysogaster. Bought a 36W pond UV today just for them..must safeguard possible breeding pair. -
I do not have anymore available at the moment as I am still growing them out. For those whom need the fish now, you can contact Joe_P. He is holding some of my percs for me. http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=81991

I got lots of them with my zoanthids and on my sand bed. They just seem to be scavengers though, does'nt seem to harm small fish or the corals.
-
Perculas with black ocellaris. All captive bred.
