  1. It would be more appropriate to list down the fish you are thinking of keeping before people can advise you. For instance if you want to keep an adult clown trigger, the max no. of fish would probably be 1. If you want to keep chromis, maybe 100 pieces.
  2. Hi bro, I have not seem CB frenatus or ephippium for sale before. So far the only CB clowns I've come across in SG are perculas, ocellaris, bicinctus and rubrocinctus.
  3. Reef Depot carries korallen-zucht.de products. You might want to check with them.
  4. Will be like looking for a needle in a haystack. Wait till I find time to sort out the misbars from the normal bars. Should be slightly easier then...
  5. I would stick to the trusted UV sterilizers. At least in theory they would be more effective. Don't get the small ones.
  6. Call Aquamart, they brought in before.
  7. 200-300 micron filter sock. Have to order from overseas.
  8. For fishes with high metabolism like anthias or tangs, lower temperature would help greatly if you can only afford to feed 1-2 times a day. Easier for them to gain body weight at lower temperature if you don't feed many times a day.
  9. I did the maths, to bring in 60 berghia to qualify for free shipping it will be at least 1.4k.
  10. When I first ran my sulphur denitrator, nitrates dropped from 50ppm to 5ppm in a week. Then again mine was a XL unit. Sulphur denitrators are the most efficient IMO but do note that the effluent is acidic, best if you can run it through some calcium reactor media to buffer the effluent prior to it entering your tank.
  11. Saw this helpful website on liveaquaria. Should be useful for hobbyists as well. http://www.liveaquaria.com/PIC/article.cfm?aid=274
  12. Does anyone know where can I get dried oyster shells?
  13. Thanks for the help Henry. Appreciate it. Finally got my hands on Mertensii..was looking for a mertensii forever.. First time I came across one so I was'nt sure if it was indeed it.
  14. Run it full and slowly decrease every 2-3 days. Once you notice hydrogen sulphide smell, increase the drip rate until no more smell. That should be the correct flowrate.
  15. I will be having the same powercut issue next month. Buy those air pumps with back-up battery supply. The one by Ocean Free, Ranger 9000 is quite strong and the battery can last 10-20 hours (depending on continuous/interval setting). I have stocked up on 3, still looking for 3 more.
  16. Not too sure of the species. I suspect Mertensii anemone but I cannot be sure.
  17. Sweet...now just for one more..
  18. Welcome Vincent. May you become more busy from now on.
  19. Your birdnest frag is still alive, although I keeping it in nutrient laden water.
  20. I've got the opportunity to see a photo of one in a Thai LFS which was maybe only around 1 inch plus. It was swimming next to pvc pipes.
  21. Hi bro, I've seen this fish at reborn. I think I tried 2 or 3 pieces. All gave in to decompression sickness plus fin rot. I think if it shows the same problems you might want to consider getting a second-hand CR and put the fish under pressure. It might work..
  22. hi bro, Will take your black ocellaris pair if it is still available.
  23. Not too sure but I would guess between $500 and $1000. Not that bad considering this species is rarer than gem tangs.
  24. Looking for the above battery back-up air pumps by Ocean Free. If anyone has spare sets to let go or know of any place which has stock please pm me.
  25. CF has only ONE piece of Amphiprion thiellei. Looks like this:
