  1. At least your pink skunk did'nt stink the maroon. Btw....saw orange skunks a few weeks ago...more cute than pink skunks.
  2. Hmmm..pm me maybe? I'm using a canopy made of acrylic...been about 2 years already and it still looks new. How much more expensive would pvc be?
  3. Normally marine fish would take better to frozen/live food in the beginning. Dry foods should be used later when they have adapted to life in your tank.
  4. Wow...let's just hope Maxima can manufacture enough snails to satisfy the demand.
  5. Use a feather. Or frag it like a mushroom.
  6. Remove your phosphates. Even with nitrates they wun be able to grow properly.

    Canopy

Anyone can offer his/her DIYing skills to help me build a black acrylic canopy? Need 2 big holes drilled on top for fans...and something to hold the 8 waterproof end caps I am using... Pls pm me...thanks.
  8. Calcium reef...can pm me if it is possible to customise a canopy out of black acrylic for me? For T5s...I got the ballast and water proof end caps already...left the tubes...and maybe a new hood.. It would be very troublesome to modify my existing hood.
  9. Keep it empty for 2 weeks. You can add inverts in the time being..just don't add fishes. After 2 weeks should be fine. Just let the free floating stages of the ich parasite to starve to death without a host...
  10. Hai..poor thing...no intention to revenge it?
  11. It died of starvation. It is rather impossible to keep..unless you have a continuous source of live zooplankton. Only certain zooplankton will be eaten.
  12. Carpets are very very adept at catching stuff...you can place your palm flat on the ###### disc and lift your hand out of the water..the anemone will still be stuck to your hand. Imagine what it would do to fish.
  13. If I have my T5s up I would definitely get them from you...but oh well...on FLs now.
  14. ONe more along tanjong katong rd...Li***d Des***n
  15. Hai...for your tank I think mix one teaspoon full of kalk to 4-5 liters of water enough already. No nid so concentrated. The less concentrated it is...the safer it is to use in your tank as the pH will not be so high.
  16. Ah...I lean my rocks against the back wall...cause I am scared of them toppling and smashing my glass.
  17. Yea..they are incredibly strong...mine tugs its blue linka along wherever she goes!
  18. Erm...if I'm not wrong if humans were stung by jellyfish they would apply vinegar. Not sure if that could apply to the fish...maybe if u want to try can take it out of water and give the wound a quick swab of vinegar...then put the fish back into the take asap.. I'm not responsible for whatever might be the outcome..this is just an idea. You should add some medication...reef-safe ones to improve the stress coat...can try feeding garlic..will boost its immune system to resist subsequent infection of the wound.
  19. The higher the water temperature the less oxygen content you have in the water. Cooler temperatures will mean more dissolved oxygen..meaning you can have more livestock.
  20. Wow..your rack should be strong to be able to support a chiller! You can add a refugium on top too...so that water coming out from the skimmer flows into the refugium..then from the refugium back into the tank...
  21. So much details...but no information on your tank..how to comment?
  22. Did the water output from the skimmer go back into the sump for pumping back into the main tank? Or did the water from the skimmer go directly into the tank?
  23. Hmmm..why is your maroon tolerating other clownfish? I'm kinda confused by its behavior.
  24. I was thinking of that too...but people I have asked all told me that the protein skimmer must be placed above the tank....if your water output is directly going into the tank.
