  5. $5 gotten it from SeaLife. This goby is very very prone to whitespot initially during acclimatization. Now it's become itch resistant. But recently I added a 2nd one..kenna bully by the existing one..now it has itch too. Trying to get it to recover by garlic everyday. It has itch for about 2 weeks already. Other fish are unaffected. They have resistance.

  9. Omg....it's one of my favourite fishes in the tank.. No wonder the polyps of my sps seem rather traumatised... Maybe I should stuff the lil bugger more..then hopefully it too bloated to bother pecking around.
  10. Reminds be of my 2 lettuce nudibranchs...both wandered into the input of a powerhead.
  11. Erm...finally decided to do something about it...here is the bugger below. I notice that it often likes to peck at polyps of sps as if they were 'worms'. Do you guys think that it is pure mischief or is it actually eating the polyps?

  15. Thought that day you saw it in my tank wat.. Dunno about the anemone...it's being held at the foot. Maybe it feel ticklish insteaD?
  16. They are quite strong and relatively inert. What you planning to keep inside anyway?
  17. NoNo...the crabs hold the anemones in their pincers for defense. Only putting them down when they are moulting. After which they quickly pick them up again. I prefer talking to Prof Chou compared to Prof. Peter Ng. The former is more open minded and helpful.. That's my personal view.
  18. Octopus feed on shellfish? I thought they mainly feed on crustaceans and sometimes fish?
  19. Real cute creatures...I've got 3 of them in my tank..my yellow tang learnt to stay away from them..the hard way.
  20. Okie..guess they have a very large geographical distribution just like harlequin shrimps. Think whether they are holding pom poms is really a random thing. If they can't find any small anemones to detach then they might go around '######'? I have a friend that kept one holding anemones before. The anemones died later on and his crab became '######'. Mine so far still has anemones.
  21. Here a list of some species that you might want to experiment on in your tank 1)Nudibranchs (the more colorful the better) 2)Sea apples 3)Anemones 4)Featherstars 5)Boxfish 6)Aiptasia 7)Cyanobacteria 8)Triggerfish 9)Hairy crabs 10)Tube anemones
  22. Diatoms will be your best friend for the next few months. They will forever be there if you are using tapwater.
  23. Sengkang got more chiobu...but I don't think that applies here.
