  1. Episode 2 showing this sunday, 21st march, 1am on Discovery channel. Saturday, 20 Mar 2004, 07:00 AM Ch 12 Monday, 22 Mar 2004, 01:00 AM Ch 12 Monday, 22 Mar 2004, 09:00 AM Ch 12 Monday, 22 Mar 2004, 05:00 PM Ch 12 I watched the first episode last sunday. It was awesome! I even saw the submersible pick up a gorgonian in the deep with an arrow crab on it! Did'nt know arrow crabs could be found so deep down! Or maybe the submersible picked it while it was still descending... Even showed divers using anaesthetic to aid them to catch a yellow-headed jawfish! Can't wait for the second episode...you guys must watch it!
  2. YYYuCccccccckkkkkkkkkkk.......
  3. Ya..at first I put the new fish with the older resident..then seem like got slight aggression..quickly relocate the new fish to the opp end of the tank. Then last night..saw the older resident visit the new one..then go back to its burrow...then the new one would visit the old one..then retreating to its burrow. Woke up today and saw both of them together.
  4. Filefish. Those dull colored ones in reb**n should do the trick. Beware if you have shrimps though. Can go for pufferfish too.
  5. You acclimatize the tilapia to full strength seawater and then breed them in it..then the fry can last longer in the seahorse tank.
  6. yea...Lucky Rumor posted the pic of his yashia..if not I would'nt know such a nice fish could be found here. Sigh..this week have to graze on grass and algae and diatoms already..
  7. Both yashias from CF..bought them few weeks apart. One jawfish from ML..1-2 month ago when it was brought in..the other one gotten from lck110 last weekend. Was quite amazed they paired up..cause heard from people very hard to pair strangers up. So happy..most of my fish are in pairs.
  8. Hmm..wonder what weird luck I have..here are the 2 peeping toms.
  9. Okie...hope it colors up in time..hmmm..actually a brown monti also quite unique.
  10. Deepblue..is that bright green one the one you got from moi?
  11. Hmmm...hehe..as I'm posting, both my jawfishes are snuggling next to each other..guess the 'courtship' i observed last night might be truly a courtship..oh well...will keep an eye on them.. ok..2 yashias..not sure if they are a pair..but at least they are not killing each other.
  12. Tried to pair my jawfish with another one today...oops..think they din like each other..now both living at opp ends of the tank.
  13. Hmm...somehow I find that my female harlequin might be gravid.
  14. If you pump them out before they have absorbed their egg sacs they are very slow swimmers.
  15. Only a few tigertail sea cukes spotted at CF..I got the largest one I could find. For information http://www.petsforum.com/personal/trevor-j...uria_hilla.html
  16. Yashias and 1 full moon goby spotted at CF.. Only a few yellow neon gobies spotted at lck110.
  17. Just thought of this...since there have been claims of freshwater feeders lacking certain nutrition that seawater fishes have. Why not breed tilapia that are acclimatized to seawater? I first bred tilapia when I was about 10 yrs old. Very easy to get the fry out of the mom's mouth while they are still small with the nutritious egg sac. All you need to do is to invert the mom upside down in the water, then you gently 'pump' the lower jaw. She will then expel her young. Seahorse food!
  18. wow..you plucked the fellow while you were diving?
  19. ........###### shrimps are all very small...they look all the same size.
  20. As long as the fish looks healthy in the bag it should be no problem. However, you will have to spend more time to acclimatize it to your tank water parameters before introducing the fish. Depends on whether you are willing to take the risk?
  21. Feed less. Remove Uneaten food. Regular water change. Lower bioload. Upgrade skimmer. Grow macroalgae. Phosphate-absorbing products like Rowaphos.
  22. Hmm..think i better make myself clearer I'm using the smaller unit compared to weileong's. 1 bubble every 7 seconds. Effluent drip once every 3 seconds. Give me 54KH and 710ppm of calcium. Effluent pH (not measured).... Test using salifert test kits at normal resolution for KH and 1/2 resolution for calcium. Bro weileong got around the same reading as mine although his effluent drip was 1 drop per second. Think it's because his unit was the larger one. Enabling more CO2 to react with more media.
  23. wah..can't imagine 4 bubbles per second..all your fish will be gasping at the surface already...
  24. Heh..yea..I'm starting to see things too....Now i sleep earlier...I have tendency to see things I should'nt see if I stay up too late. Might be my own imagination...but...dun like the feeling of my hair standing up.
