This sea cuke grew about 20-30% since I got it...
-
Normally when they're not moving they're probably just lazing around and digesting their food. It's very normal behaviour..
-
Hmmm..if your sandbed is gruesome..you should have enough food for this fellow..my sandbed now glaring white after I used rowaphos..scared not enough food to sustain the black sea cuke..that's why selling off. You upgrading to a 5 footer right? You could always put it in the smaller tank first while waiting for your 5 footer to kick in..

Looks like I must get seachem prime soon then..kinda tired of the foaming nutrafin induces...very troublesome..
-
Heard from bro Riodan that only chlorine will be removed if you age the water. Chloramine won't get removed leh...

Hi..I bought a bottle of bioplankton today...smells rather nice.. Just kind of confused how much to dose...some people tell me about 2 drops for a 4 footer every few days...but the instructions on the bottle said for mature systems about 1 squirt for 30 gallons everyday? 1 squirt is ALOT!
-
just wondering what is the brand the majority of you guys use...I'm currently using nutrafin..gives me ridiculous foaming action from my skimmer...making me clear the skimmer cup about 3-4 times before things settle down.. Oh yes...do you guys add anti-chlorine to top off water?

Selling off my black sea cuke as I find that it is growing too big for my tank, scared not enough food for my pink sea cuke and tigertail cuke. It's about 1 foot long...priority will be given to those with Mature tanks (At least 6 months) above 3ft. Going for $10...very healthy..can remain turgid even if taken out of water.. Pls pm me if interested.

I'm keeping the SLFs with ###### shrimps. No problems for me..anyway..###### shrimps are not such easy prey. Try catching them yourself and you know what I mean..
-
Hmmm...if next time you set up another tank..think it is always best to leave it with freshwater overnight to test for leaks..rather than to mix in salt straightaway...
-
No choice but to say something..this fella is treating marine fish like guppies or tilapia..
-
wah...MH for refugium.. Electricity bills?
-
Hmm..good to know that your pair is still doing well..my female died to the gill irritation problem...the male died in the course of treatment...my mom mopped out the plug of the air pump.

.......the point is that...your tank is TOO SMALL to support so many fishes. Is'nt it common sense that overcrowding will lead to unsanitary conditions and disease outbreaks? Did'nt you learn that in social studies!? What applies to humans can be basically applied to all other living things. Fishes need the space to swim, just like how we need the space to walk. Fishes need to have clean water, just like how we need to have clean air. Fishes need to have PRIVACY...just like us. Beggars will eat anything, so will badly starved anthias. But the point is that even if they are full, they will be subjected to other form of stress like territorial disputes. Does'nt it kind of remind you of the gang fights in Singapore in the early days? The people fought over territory, which is what is happening in your tank. There is NO POINT in removing your humbug damsel...If you do not know the nature of the fishes you are keeping in the first place. Do you know a heirachy always exists in every tank? If you remove your damsel, the next aggressive fish will become the killer (my guess would be your strawberry basslet). Why not just sell off all your fish...by doing so you'll be doing some good at least to your karma....Leave your tank empty for the time being and READ up on what fishes you plan to keep.....and how BIG they eventually will get. You'll be surprised how HUGE those bluecheeked sandshifter gobies of yours will grow to in the wild..but in your tank that should'nt be an issue..since they'll be cruelly stunted in your tank. Cleaner fishes and cleaner shrimp will NOT cure ICH. They will only help to remove sceptic tissue or larger ectoparasites like isopods. ICH is caused by stress, mainly due to OVERCROWDING and BAD water conditions! If you can't listen to good adviCe, then I don't see why you should be fit to be a reefer. Why not just donate the money to charity. At least you'll be doing some GOOD.

I'm using ATI T5s DIY. Argh...feeling so peeved...I have the intention to throw away the $%^!@$! mop of death...
-
I want to vomit blood already...was treating the yashia..and my mom came along with her MOP...although i told her DOZENS of times...NOT to MOP around my fish tank..in the end the plug for the air pump came out..by the time I woke up the fish was dead already......... At least she kind of regretted after I told her the fish costed $30.... I think I better find some kind of BARRIER to PUT around my tank.

Wow...how inspiring....
-
It might be the process of forming new scutes...I'm not too sure..but I don't think you need to be overly worried about it..my maxima does that periodically too..
-
It'll be cheaper if you look for them at lighting fixture shops..
-
hmmmm..poisoning?

My female yashia passed away few days ago... the male is showing the same symptoms as the female. Now I'm left with no choice but to treat using copper. Just wondering..how long should I treat it for? Is 1 day sufficient for most parasites to die?
-
Who's that person? Did he like make an underwater glass sculpture and grow acro frags on it?
-
One nice mixed-reef! Awesome clams! Hmmm..first time see acro grow on glass...
-
Oh well..went out to buy paracure manufactured by red sea today...hopefully my yashia recovers using the copper treatment. Wanted to get bioplankton today..but then monday..alot of LFS around my area not open.. Anyway..another pic of my favourite acro frag..got it as a light tan color..now it got 2 color..light tan (original color) and dark green.. The acro to its back left not doing well...dunno what's with it..
