  1. If your tank is relatively new, it's a common sight to see sea cukes climbing everywhere but on your sand as there is insufficient food in the sand for them.
  2. I'm using biohome..either it does'nt work..or you need insane amounts of it to work...which can be financially draining...
  3. Remember seeing large cat-eye bubbles at Iwarna yesterday..placed under MH units..in the big blue tubs..
  4. Wow..awesome tank and nice liverock..can't wait to see it stocked up... I'll offer to adopt the crab if you have phobia of such crabs..
  5. Heh...I was referring to inverts mostly..I remember there was a time long ago..when everything I bought and added into my 2 footer died...then finally found out the reason..my s.g hydrometer was faulty..got a new one..and my tank s.g was 1.026! the introduced inverts were in s.g in 1.020s. I remember even caulerpa went asexual and melted after being introduced into such water. Anyway Rav..I keep my s.g between 1.022-1.024 for the most time..works fine for me..
  6. Suggest you wait another week. Changing another 50% too soon will seriously stress your tank organisms. Nitrates don't build up that fast. You'll have to let your tank inhabitants slowly acclimatize to the new water conditions.
  7. Heard from one of the older LFS..rather unknown LFS to most ppl...in the bedok area...that fish fading color is due to high phosphate levels. Not sure how through this is but I guess there is no harm in checking your phosphate levels?
  8. You'll face a harder acclimatization process. The s.g of water in farms and LFS are usually around the lower 1.020s....
  9. Might be dropping down ML sometime next week..hopefully can get Henry to bring in more blue sea squirts...will keep you updated if can get him to bring in...thinking of getting 10 squirts this time.. Bulk order la..maybe got discount..
  10. My dad thought I went to watch that show today..instead I watched Hellboy.
  11. Saw some at pasir ris today..still left quite a few...the new branch of pacific marine. It's the one I just updated in my tank thread..the color not very nice..but I have a feeling it might color up.
  12. Did you wash the sand with tap water before hand? If your tap water is acidic it could explain the rise in calcium.
  13. A similar post has been posted before. Anyway..just to answer your question..it won't work as water is not meant to flow right thru a deep sand bed. Anaerobic areas won't be able to form at all. It'll be better off leaving the canister empty and using it for water circulation instead.
  14. Not only the expo...even the pet mall in mid valley and the p*t saf*ri in KL pricing was so......
  15. Happy b'day guys~ Been a pleasure to meet both of you in person.
  16. Hmmm..can understand why you came to Sg to buy fish..maybe even equipment...I went to KL during the last malaysian pet expo..about 1 month plus back...all the marine stuff so expensive...equipment not say very good also..
  17. One of the natural inhabitants of the carpet anemone is the maroon clown. I'm not sure for the tomato clown though.
  18. Wah..it was there for so long? Hmmm..if that's so color might have faded due to insuff food..but nevermind..Should be able to bring it into its full glory very soon..using 1.5 squirts of bioplankton everyday.
  19. Ah..first pic is an axotol! Used to see them around here...can't seem to find them anymore..
  20. Hopefully can color up to something like this?
  21. Ah..not at reefworld..it's the new branch of pacific marine..the first marine when you enter via pasir ris drive 1...The guy said $12 per rock...so I picked a rock with 2 squirts on it..the rest only had 1 squirt..and those look very big..too big for my liking..
  22. Found these 2 squirts while hunting in pasir ris today..don't have to worry about it vanishing..its a giant.. Hoping that it has potential to color up more..after feeding it with BioPlankton..
