Sometimes I forget and doze it once a month? Scared of overdosing. NSW levels of iodate ions & iodide ions are very low. About 0.06ppm in total. That's why after 2 years the bottle is still 80% full? Ya..everything alright. Cannot use the pump alone to drive my return, my I-box can't keep up with it. So only choice is to use a Tee-off to my FR too. Don't even need to adjust the flow into the FR, both output balance out just right. Did'nt need the short hose as I connected the pump directly to eheim hose.

A LFS owner (very experienced but slightly unorthodox in thinking) once told me that high phosphate levels might affect the colouration of fish. Not sure whether it's true or not.

Letting go a weipro 4000 as I upgraded my return pump to a weipro 5000. Originally bought for $40 from re**rn...Rated at 2972 liter per hour, max delivery height = 8ft (2.5m), power consumtion = 40W. Used only for about 4-5 months. Letting go with box and all the adaptors & suction discs. Only defect is a slight dent near the pump casing when I tried using a screwdriver to pry open the casing. It's not easy to remove the casing without using alot of strength. You'll have to pull very hard. Going for $25. Self-collection in bedok area. Also eheim professional 2226. Going for $90.

These crabs feed on snails. Their claws have evolved to cut open snail shells. They can be caught off changi beach. Just throw a net and you can catch them already.

I know got a few species of frogs that can tolerate seawater..like crab-eating frogs. But funny why they decided to associate poor harmless frogs with alien marine invaders... Look! A frog with fins!

My tank has ich for months already. Till now although everyday feeding food soaked in garlic oil the ich is still persistent. Could have developed resistance to garlic? Oh well..looks like I have to tolerate the ich. Not killing my fishes so far....but definitely an eyesore.

Sound more like pistol shrimps to me. Lobsters don't dig around. Add some gobies and you'll be able to witness very interesting behavior.

Hmmm...Ya..It's still doing well. Noticed something weird though..they only turn yellow after they shed their mucus coat. After awhile they will turn back to a little greyish hue. Anyway, it's best that you help them remove their mucus coating if you do not have enough current that would help them shed. Most likely the removal of mucus coat has to do with the removal of particulate matter that has begun to settle on them.

You should have either used a U-tubing to hang on the tank or you could have used cable ties instead.

$300 on a pump? Not my way of spending money.. Anyway..decided to get a dedicated pump for my Ca reactor and Fluidized reactor together. Maybe around 1000+ l/hr.

Hmmm..ya hor...ok...Now I know the correct pump size to get already.
