  1. Iwarna came in red sea shipment today -golden red-sea butterflies -some orchid dottybacks -some sunrise dottybacks -some orange skunk clowns (I got 1. ) -small cleaner shrimp - 20 - 50 cent size purple tangs. Some bigger. XL sizes available too.
  2. Ok fellow reefers...pls dun pm me anymore..my mailbox nearly got flooded. Will update if there are any extras left.
  3. Pic of a purple seafan frag (the one on the right one) which has literally encrusted onto the coral chip. Collection will be in marine parade area. If have fellow interested reefers living around same area it would be good if a single person collects. It's tiring staying at home waiting for people to come one by one..
  4. I have the following for sale. As I'm only keeping a few frags for myself. The rest of the frags came from the same mother colonies. Benefits of captive propagated sea fans - Sea fans grow adapted to the environment, many huge wild colonies die due to insufficient current and other factors that are very different from what they experience in the wild. Thus, growing sea fans out from frags greatly increases their survival rate in captivity. - No danger of hitchhikers. - Good size, you can literally stick them anywhere in your tank which has sufficient current. Good for nano tanks. My frags are stuck onto coral chips. These have been undergoing TLC for the past month or so. Small spots of coralline algae are already growing on some of the coral chips. No tissue recession has occured (common problem in seafan fragging)and some frags have even encrusted onto the coral chip. Each coral chip has 1 blue polyp seafan frag, one red base with yellow polyp seafan frag, and one purple base with purple polyp seafan. These guys are tough, just place them somewhere with enough turbulence and they will open nicely. Only asking $5 per set (1 coral chip with 3 diff sea fans mounted). Interested parties just pm me. Pics are attached below.
  5. Peace guys. What ever bro lightningstrike or bro sps_dude is feeling I'm feeling many times worse. But I'm not making alot of noise am I? Peace to all.
  6. Purple heliofungia with luminous green base.
  7. Ah beng's place - only 1 pc sri lankan dottyback spotted (about palm size) - palm size clown frogfish - paired blue stripe pipefish I-aquarium - 2 pcs trumpetfish spotted (good size, similar to alligator pipefish) - longnose hawkfish
  8. Mine chases frozen mysis. Is yours the normal or the spotted one? I find the spotted mandarin easier to wean so far.
  9. Females might be larger in size so that they can produce more eggs. There will be exceptions though. Depends on whether the species provides parental care. For species that don't the female tends to be the larger one in the monogamous pair, so that more offspring can be produced to increase survival rate. For species involved in parental care (cardinalfish, cichlids, etc), males tend to be larger as they need to protect the young. Females are normally smaller in this case as the brood does not need to be large as survival rate is already increased by parental care. Does't apply to humans as we don't lay eggs.
  10. Do a search in yahoo.com for urocaridella sp. Those are the glass shrimps Henry is selling
  11. Hmm..keep an eye on the goniopora and the scroll coral.
  12. I never bothered about my pH at all. Don't bother yourself with it too much if your things are looking fine.
  13. aGreed. I fragged them before in my old 4 footer too. Tough little guys.
  14. Dried ones tend to float. Make sure you seal frozen ones properly, if not they will end up freeze-dried too (mine did).
  15. Keep your japonicas dense. They do help to provide shelter for any fry. I managed to raise emperor tetra fry in my amazonian community tank last time by accident (I did'nt even know they were there, so they grew up without being fed any fry food).
  16. Asexual growth is normal growth. Sexual growth is when they start turning white.
  17. I kept 3 before and ended up with 1. I think something above 5 would be good.
  18. These clowns are a good buy. Their body patterns are close to 100% similar. Also note the amount of black and the deep hue of the orange.
  19. Make a U-joint into ur sump using pvc piping. Use another pump to pump water into your resun before switching it on.
  20. OMG. Think I will stick to good old Coralife next time.
  21. They do this for planted tanks. Dennerle has this type of product.
  22. It might work. But you got to know the optimal temperature by which the enzymes (found in denitrification bacteria) will work at. If the temperature exceeds the optimal temperature, denitrification might be hindered instead.
