  1. I've had sps exposed to air for about 5-6 hours with no problems. Main thing is to keep them moist. So during water change just splash them with seawater whenever you feel like like they are drying out. Turn off your lights to prevent them from being baked.
  2. Eeeks..to think I almost came out with seafan hermit crab shells. Anyway..seen these shells used for land hermits. But safe for seawater usage?
  3. Updated bids - Sea urchin ($18) - Star polyps ($25) - Sea cucumber ($10) Bidding closed. Thanks for interest shown.
  4. Updated bids - Sea urchin ($18) - Star polyps ($20) - Sea cucumber ($10) Bidding closes in 30 mins.
  5. You will need......................GOlden pearls!

  7. I kept a pair in sps tank before...Not much problems. They released baby harlequins to feed the corals too.

  10. Item 3 : Sea cucumber. Behaves exactly like the tigertail sea cucumber. Does not climb glass. Loves attaching itself to the base of rocks.

  12. Have decided to put these up for auction. Those interested please bid in this thread. I have phobia of pms now. Minimum bid Item 1 - (sea urchin) - $15 Item 2 - (star polyps) - $12 Item 3 - (unidentified sea cucumber) - $10 Attached below is a picture of the sea urchin. Supposedly from Sri Lanka.
  13. Hmm..think most likely disconnecting the system. Too many things to worry about if I leave things running.
  14. Seems possible. Just use a pure strain culture for initial innoculation and make sure you have enough phosphates and other necessary nutrients in the water to fuel their growth?
  15. Ok..I have suddenly been enlightened. My precious collections will all have to be sold...
  16. Thanks anthonykoh for collecting the items at this hour with such enthusiasm. I'm left with 1)Pygmy yellowtail angelfish (Centropyge flavicauda) - $8 2)White tiger goby - $10 (reserved for Terryz) 3)Spotted mandarin (Can take frozen mysis) - $8 4)Common mandarin (2pc) (Can take frozen mysis) - $8 5)2 pc galaxea (Reserved for dieran_green) 6)Gorgonian (XL) - $10. ($5 one reserved for Gouldian) 7)Blue spotted urchin from ML - $10 8)Sri lankan tricolor urchin (Not sure how much, quote me a price?) 9)Unidentified sea cuke (pinkish hue, stays on the sand)(quote me a price?) Pics of the urchins and cuke can be found in my tank thread (Recent one). The mandarins do take frozen mysis. Just that you must make sure you have no other fishes to take their mysis before they get to it. I've had the mandarins for 3-4 months already.
  17. Photosynthetic gorgonians aka sea fans. Left piece is XL. GOing for $10 Right one is smaller. GOing for $5 Oh yes..all buyers will be given free sea fan aquacultured frags to play with. Don't really have time to care for them now (they need lots of feeding and detritus stir up)..
  18. 2 pc of galaxea. Both for $40. $22 each. Left one is slightly pink. Right one is fluorescent orange under actinics.

Apologies to Terryz and anthonykoh who wanted both the tiger gobies. Decided to sell them separately as both of them will fight if placed together.

  21. A little crowded? It's likely the seahorse will swim into the anemone sooner or later..
  22. Will be going australia soon to further my studies. I have 4 frag tanks linked to a common sump driven by a md55. Only the top 2 tanks are filled and lit with T5s. Running an AquaC Urchin for 10 hours a day. All soft corals. I was wondering would it be advisable to leave the tanks running for 1.5 years? I will be coming back for vacations during semester breaks. I am rather reluctant as the tanks are having cool growths of coralline algae right now and they should be sps ready when I return. What are your thoughts guys?
