  1. You can eat these fellas when they grow big. It's a juvenile mud crab.
  2. Agreed..my weipro skims crap that is as thick as mud. Even cheap airstones placed in the sump will cause crap to collect at the walls of the sump. Did you raise the water level high enough? The water level should reach the bottom of the raised column and not the line indicated on the skimmer. It can be confusing especially if it is the first time you are using weipro.
  3. The movie should have used cows or primates as hosts instead. More public attention is needed on animal experiments rather than on human experiments. If humans choose to destroy themselves so be it. Don't drag other species into it.
  4. Yes...finally it has moulted...the new claw looks as large as the old one.
  5. Even the foam resembles that produced by the AquaC urchin.
  6. Weipro works fine. This is my weipro 2012 skimmate on the second day after cleaning the collection cup. The dirtied lid looks the same as the lid of an AquaC Urchin I used to own.
  7. Don't be surprised if the other firegoby murdered it.
  8. Hmm..came across this lovely rather peaceful damselfish species at Coralfarm.. Pomacentrus alleni. Has'nt shown any signs of aggressive behavior so far.
  9. Update on my favourite stenopus..it has yet to moult...rather slow grower..
  10. I've been playing CS for over 6 years. Recently just moved over to CS:Source. Source rocks totally..although the speed of sniping peeves me off..sniping is so much more deadly in CS 1.6. Anyway, any old Sgwargamers?
  11. Manufacturers are mainly responsible for production and servicing. It is the retail joints that extend services like installation. As Joe builds the products himself, you can imagine how much time he would lose on other products if he was to set aside time to setup a resale product. Any businessman would put priority on future products while providing customer service only when deemed necessary. The price you get direct from the manufacturer would definitely be lower than that gotten from a retail outlet. As the profit margin of retail outlets will be higher, it is only justifiable that they provide installation and other follow-up services. The manufacturer on the other hand, would lose out if he was held responsible for setting up services. This is especially so if the time could be spent on R&D and meeting other customer deadlines.
  12. Interesting...I like the "snout"
  13. HAhaha..Signature number 38009 with the message "Satan loves you."
  14. Sensitivity.....anywhere in the world money talks..what we see now might just be the skimmate.

Hmm..great job...but don't think a mantis would be a good idea..Esp when the glass is thin..mantis shrimp are evil critters.
  16. You can hatch them using 1/2 strength seawater too.
  17. Hmmm...never donated a single cent to NKF all my life...I could sense evil... Come on....why keep so much reserves for the management and for the future? Splurge the reserves on the patients man...Should'nt they be the priority of NKF? Here's what I would do as a compassionate person. 1 beautiful masseuse for each male patient below 40 and a massage chair each for female patients or elderly male patients. Spas and jacuzzis for all patients. Maybe even an underground facility for discreet controlled marijuana enjoyment. As for the reef tanks and planted tanks? Just ask for volunteers from Sgreefclub and the money saved could be used as bonuses for the staff.
  18. Wah...kenna arrow... Anyway I don't study insects so I can't really comment. Anyway, most stuff won't eat millipedes. They are real foul tasting critters. As for the moths..maybe something is intefering with their navigation causing them to "beach" themselves like whales? Hmm..don't think you need to worry AT...I doubt moths are toxic. My lizards loved them..
  19. Hmmm..that frog is Phyllobates terribilis...it's in the most toxic genus of all dartfrogs. However, captive bred ones are really harmless. Personal experience..
  20. True...if you use it in a FR without washing you will see the brown sediments in your tank very soon.
  21. Looking for people clearing branching liverock. Send me a pm with your offer if you have any. Thanks.
  22. Glad to be back...thanks to Henry of ML for his hospitality and the other kind reefers who willingly reserved their items for me. I finally found this shrimp after searching for so long... Ghost boxing shrimp (Stenopus pyrsonotus). Waiting for it's other claw to grow back. Kept in a tank of its own with only room light as it might be sensitive to bright lighting.
  23. Eh no..give it away..it's harmless!
