  1. You all forgot... Traffic fines...parking fines..ERP fines (if you forgot to put cashcard). Seriously if your taxi is costing you $1000 a month, you should look around and see if you have any friends who have lots of time who have vehicle too. Offer them any amount less than $1000 per month and you will save $ already.
  2. I lost the male but the female is going well. She is hunting and I will supplement her diet with some live mysid shrimp that I will get from LCK. The larvae got released last night, I missed the release..too tired to stay up. My blue stripe pipefish pair are both eating frozen hikari mysis but the ghost pipe has yet to learn to eat them.
  3. Loss of colour is mostly related to nutrition. Try giving more cyclopeeze or food which contains spirulina or krill meal.
  4. I used to keep rics unknowingly at around 29-30 degrees. They started bleaching and shrinking. Now I am keeping my temperature at 27, the rics are huge and thriving. A good link to read is: http://www.ratemyfishtank.com/articles/125 Relation between Temperature, Salinity and Dissolved oxygen. http://www.algone.com/oxygen.php
  5. 28 is the max I would go. 27 degrees is more recommended.
  6. Can't believe people skin can be so thick... bullet-proof I think.
  7. What species of skunk clown? The common type is Amphiprion perideraion. Most LFS or farms will have this. Amphiprion akallopisos is less common, one place you can find it is CF. The orange one, Amphiprion sandaracinos, can be found at Pinnacle & CF. If you want something less common go for Amphiprion akallopisos. They don't come in often.
  8. Is that shop pictured in Chatuchak? I remember there was a SPS shop there, not sure if it is the same one.
  9. Still can be sliced, just that I think need to be more careful with gigantea. Cut with scissors definitely die, need surgical scapel or fillet knife for clean cut.
  10. Starting bid $18....top up $2 more can go lck buy neon goby to clean your fish, not eat your fish.
  11. ................................................................................ ......................................major diet is fish scales and fish mucus. $18 no one will bid lah. Bid for a fish that will attack their fish?
  12. Heard its larval phase is many many months. Will try to see if can get them past a week first.
  13. Yes, I believe the larvae should be hatching real soon. She released some larvae last week while it was transported back home. I did not try the larvae as I tried the previous time as I think premature larvae will not fare well. If it releases this time, I will harvest the larvae to try. It should release tonight or tomorrow night based on its pouch inflating behavior and my hunch.
  14. Sadly the female did not make it due to a lethal snout infection. I recently acquired another pair. The male is exhibiting the same symptoms that killed the previous female. Somehow this species seem very susceptible to a certain snout infection. It starts off as a little fungus type of appearance and within 12 hours the whole snout appears to be somewhat paralysed by this mucous. I treated my previous female too late, formalin could not save her. I am performing daily formalin dips for the male, hoping he can recover from this. At the moment he is not eating as his snout is infected. The female is actively hunting. Here are pics of the female. She is able to turn a little darker pink, now she is in her lighter tone. This is where the female holds the eggs. The pouch expands and compresses for oxygen to reach the developing young. The modified pelvic fins. A good analogy is like your hands clasped together with your fingers interlocked. Close-up of the pouch where the embryos could be seen.
  15. Reef Depot should still have some left.
  16. $40. Just want to clear. Thanks.
  17. You need a fillet knife. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthre...threadid=921143
  18. If the remaining 2 blue fish survives, I wonder what will come out by breeding them. Metallic blue fish?
  19. Just when you think the fish is going to make it, it dies on you. I am rather used to this by now, but instead of throwing the fish away I decided to snap a few shots of it before I dumped it. Freshly dead offspring of P.fridmani x P. sankeyi and P. fridmani x P. sankeyi, aka indigo dottyback offspring. Ten minutes later.
  20. Do help by showing some support in this thread. http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?...mp;#entry831195 If there is very good support very soon we will see Albino ocellaris clownfish on our shores!
  21. Come on guys, do show support and make Singapore be one of the first few countries with albino ocellaris!
  22. I took some photos. Seems that the indigo dottyback (P. sankeyi x P. fridmani) is able to breed true. The lighter coloured fish are orchid dottybacks that should be undergoing meta soon.
  23. Hi Marcel, Glad you found your way here. Guess we should be expecting some of your fish very soon?
