  1. Yes I should give up the dart gobies, not fun seeing a few $2-$3 fish missing everytime. Now the tank is between 26-28 degrees depending on my ambient room temperature. My livestocks now include: 1 x Leander plumosus shrimp. 3 x Dicordipinna griessingeri gobies 3 x eviota gobies 1 x Blue stripe pipefish 1 x tail-spot blenny 1 x blue legged hermit 1 x hawaiin halloween hermit 2 x tuxedo urchins 30+ mini "abalones". Started off with 4 but they bred in the tank. I suppose the spawnings feed the SPS and gorgonian as well.
  2. There is growth tips on the Ponape birdnest. I suppose I could get better growth if my parameters had been more stable. Dosing manually is tricky too.
  3. Right hand side, top down shot. The stylo was cream colored when I got it, now it is showing signs of pinking up.
  4. A small 1cm frag which turned from brown to blue. The sps above it is a recent aquisition. It is from the same mother colony and if all goes well, it should turn blue as well.
  5. Top down shot, left side of tank. The green birdnest is the longest surviving SPS, it has been in there since the beginning of the tank.
  6. Some updates. Lost much of the previous SPS due to the recent heat wave and some salt burn issues. Learned much from my mistakes and have improved my husbandry. The cool weather recently has helped a lot too as I am not running a chiller. I have incorporated an air-stone skimmer. Daily water change of 2 liters via bottom siphoning is still a daily routine. Calcium and alkalinity is maintained by C-balance. I am left with 1 mini dart goby, the rest simply jumped out and were never found. The lone survivor seems to be the only one that does not jump. Full tank shot
  7. Can color SPS confirm. My stylo is turning pink under them.
  8. Leave your tank fishless for 1-2 months (the longer the better). Do 20-30% water change every week. Get a quarantine tank. Quarantine new fish for at least 2-3 weeks to clear them of any serious infections, 1 month is preferred. If you find a QT tank too troublesome, invest in a good UV sterilizer. Don't add more than 1 fish a week. Seawater is alkaline and ammonia is more toxic. You need to stock slowly to avoid ammonia spike.
  9. Looks like a sinularia sp. Looks suspicious too. Some areas between the polyps are pink and the base of the coral looks reddish. But will be cool if this is a natural color morph.
  10. Best go down or call to ask. The price might have been revised after it had been I.Ded.
  11. Picture of tail-spot blenny. A very beautiful algae eater. http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_di...amp;pcatid=2229
  12. Did'nt have time to work with them yet. However I noticed that these guys will not eat hair algae. They only go for bryopsis.
  13. Not sad no worries, just wanted 1 more as 1 of mine got killed by my monster sized red head goby.
  14. The grissengeri goby got some big ones around 1cm+. Some of them look a little different. I got one with intense red colouration, not the usual orange color you see. The kole tangs from 2" and up.
  15. 1" is a good size. Usually this fish come less than 1cm.
  16. LCK has peppermint shrimps and their ORA shipment has arrived. Sunrise dottybacks, orchid dottybacks, indigo dottybacks, elongatus dottyback, yellow assessor, blue assessor, powder blue tangs, platinum clowns, naked clowns, black ocellaris, red head gobies, blue neon gobies, green-banded gobies (unfortunately all reserved), flame angels, royal grammas, black cap basslet, etc. CF just came some very good sized and very red grissengeri gobies, 3 burgessi butterfly, kole tangs, tail-spot blennies. CF still has emerald crabs.
  17. Wow..the biggest collection I have seen..
  18. Elaborate more on the bacterial infection signs?
  19. Nope. From a LFS out of many many other normal looking ones.
  20. Rare color variation of Acrozoanthus sp. Usually they are 100% brown.
  21. Often mistaken for blue anthelia, this is the often overlooked blue clove polyps.
  22. Super Green GSP. It could have been 100% green if not for the stalk, which is purple.
  23. A better shot of Neon Green Sinularia sp.
