  1. Wow..Alan..i love your hp. no.! Can buy it from u?
  2. I added one dose already. But this is the first time I am adding the Reef Builder. My tank is already around 5 months old? Weekly water change about 10% only. So hard to guage. Anyway...Dunno why I am so particular about my kH and calcium....I'm keeping softies mostly. Ah..guess it's just to grow coralline algae. Those on my rocks are pink-red. Those on my glass are green! I want the pink ones!
  3. Those who don't want their brazilians anymore can donate to me! I love everything about Brazil...especially the frogs!
  4. Ok..i shall add them 2 days apart. Yep..mine is Seachem's Reef Builder. Another question...for Kalkwasser you need to drip it slowly...but for the Reef Builder...I add dose by dose daily until my kH goes up to the value I like right? Question is..for each dose...Do I need to drip it?
  5. It's a clown with goby behaviour. Try introducing a pistol shrimp?
  6. They will school. Then when they find the correct partner they will pair off and get married. Something like the SDU here. IMO...should keep more than 5 if you can afford. Anything below that number might lead to intraspecific aggression as mentioned by someone earlier. Just like firegobies...I could never add another fire goby into my tank without it being wacked to death by the resident one. Guess the only way to do it is to add 3-4 new ones at the same time to spread out the aggression.
  7. Hi guys..need to clarify somethings. I have bought 2 additives. One is Seachem's Reef buffer (containing carbonates and bicarbonates....the label states that it will help to maintain pH stability)...the other is Reefez kalkwasser (basically calcium hydroxide). I have some questions. Let's say I add the buffer till my kH is maybe around 9-10... then I add the kalkwasser slowly to increase my calcium levels to the norm (maybe around 450ppm?)... As I do this...do I need to monitor my pH? Will it overshoot 8.3? If so will it go down and stabilize at 8.3 in time to come? I'm scared if I adjust my kH first...then if adding kalkwasser to increase my calcium level incidentally increases my pH to >8.5. Won't it take very long for it to drop back to 8.3 since my kH is so high? By then would'nt my aquarium inhabitants die?
  8. I'm a perpetually poor student. Keeping so many critters...I no money to buy new clothes and shoes somemore. How to sponsor u?
  9. ML just brought in frozen Cyclops..... I've been looking for them ever since I bought one pack during the last Aquarama...until now haven use finish...but I bought extra just in case. IMO..very good for fishes like razorfish and pipefish. Has very high nutritional value.
  10. ML has stock. Just arrived. Bought somemore today. GOGOGO!
  11. These sort of hermit can collect from east coast.
  12. Come back and build an underwater chamber in Indonesia or something. Then you can 'own' the reef around it.
  13. It all depends on the size of the fish in respective to the size of the cleaner shrimp. Ever wondered that small fish like damsels tend to dislike frequenting CS? IMO CS would only appeal to larger fish.
  14. IMO clownfishes and cleaner shrimps will cause goniopora to be very very disturbed.
  15. What's the difference between Royal gramma and Brazilian gramma? Btw...I saw the royal gramma in Henry's tank...and OMG...it was GIGANTIC.
  16. Thought it was a marsupial..sugar glider? hmmm...lolx
  17. I din use denitrate as it will have to be replaced as it is a chemical medium. I chose to use BioHome as biological filtration sounds more stable to me.
  18. The building next to the hospital...next to the road..is a mortuary.
  19. Still got S*A L**E at Balestier. Their soft coral display tank was so nice sia!
  20. Dissolve one tablet of ###### in the water.
  21. Hmmm..hard to say...I'm using 2 canisters..one for biological..the other for chemical filtration. Anyway...if I were you I will place biofoam as the first layer...second layer BioHome...3rd layer...Rowaphos and ChemiPure..and probably some of Seachem's matrix.
  22. I think the counter-current skimmer would be a better choice. The bubbles have more contact time with the water and organics. The skimmer you are using...IMO...is skimming the same area of water over and over again...Just try to make sure there is enough circulation near your skimmer to ensure fresh saltwater is introduced for skimming.
