Hi guys...I have got my ELBIRU 55W dual ballasts and my water proof end caps already... Just asking..what do you all use to mount your water proof end caps on? I know it fits into the commercial FL housing...but then that would be too heavy as I will be mounting it onto the inner side of my tank cover. I was thinking of supergluing it directly onto my hood...but then it would be hard to take out in future...any suggestions?

Brine shrimp is useless IMO...use frozen/freeze dried cyclops...or blended shrimp/mysis/clams would be better. They respond to strong smelling food better.

Hmmm..my tank no hair algae leh...my skimmer is rather lousy...a venturi skimmer...hang on type..one of the first few skimmers i spotted here few years ago...i think the skimmer itself is maybe 6-7 years old? Getting a new one soon hopefully. My scallops, sponges, tubeworms and sea fans are all very happy with their daily feeding...

If i had to choose a flame angel I would probably waste 1 hour....$45 leh!

It was not healthy to begin with. Transport and adding it to your tank subjected it to more stress as it had to expend extra energy to adjust to your tank conditions. That's the reason why it died....

......No harm in feeding it the garlic piece lah. If it eat the raw garlic it is already consuming the juice. How can people be sure that when they drop garlic-soaked food into their water the garlic juice does not disperse into the water before the tang eats it? That's why i'm feeding mine the garlic directly. So far 2 days of feeding and it's still alive. Will continue until the whitespots are gone. Garlic is organic and not toxic anyway...I don't see any harm in feeding it raw garlic pieces. The stomach of tangs are adapted for digesting plant tissue anyway.
