  1. It's got a hard skeleton. Feel below it and you can feel a calcareous skeleton. This one is Heliofungia.sp. Can expand very big. Sting can be rather strong. Try to keep it away from other corals.
  2. Of course you can add in 10 more! The question should be : 'Would everything survive happily if I add in 10 more?'
  3. Bubble tip....its not carpet. Carpet anemones the tentacles very short and dense one...you put your hand in it...you can lift your hand out of the water and the anemone will still be stuck to your hand. That's a carpet.
  4. Terryz...your that tank is JEBO one right? I got a tank exactly like that...used to be for my marine...but now for lizard.
  5. Hmmm....octozin by waterlife is safe lah.. I have tried it in my reef tank...it works. It's not strong in any way..it's just subtle smooth working medicine. Nothing died...except the ich. You can ask Henry from ML about the product...He has them in stock. IMO very very few LFS have this product. Last time I want to find extra stock also so hard to find..now I know where to go look for it.
  6. Try the long nose yellow butterfly...I have kept those before..they seem to be more appreciative of food. The last time I kept them when I was only 15 yrs old...they would eat brine shrimp and amazingly...bloodworms!
  7. Your fishes are stressed up totally. I think your filtration system cannot handle the current bioload and looking at your nitrites...it can be seen. Nitrites should be ZERO all the time...best to be ZERO before you add any new fish. Not to mention the choice of fishes. If I were you I would remove the triggers ASAP and put them in a tank of their own.
  8. Water changes are done for 2 reasons 1) To remove the nitrates that have accumulated over the cycling process. 2) To replenish any trace elements that might have been depleted during cycling.
  9. Hmmm..looks high to me too..but don't think that is the cause of death. Fish are more tolerant of nitrates than you think. Maybe your hermit ambushed it while it was sleeping...or maybe it could have been eating alot..but eating wrong food and slowly starved to death (it does happen).. So many other reasons..I wouls suggest u remove the hermit asap..it sounds big to me...to think it can finish your yellow tang till only skeletons left...scary.
  10. Don't look like carpet anemone to me...carpets have shorter tentacles... This one looks more like a shrunken bubble tip.
  11. Hey..they are such adorable things..how can you call them pests? hehee..
  12. Hmmm....I just bought one of those dungs today. Quite nice to hold..
  13. Hmmm..If I'm not wrong the frozen red plankton you are using is actually frozen cyclops itself?

It's like asking a question... Why do so many youngsters keep upgrading handphones? Why do so few buy cheaper older models? Now ask yourself this question... What is a function of a handphone? To call people. It all depends on the individual really. I don't mind things...as long as they WORK.
  15. Ah its the stare of evil nemo....NOoooooooooooo!
  16. Hey...all hail turbos the bulldozers! You can actually hear their shells knocking on the glass from time to time.
  17. Definitely not a snail leh..it's not moving on the rock at all..seems as if it is anchored permanently...
  18. I've got this 'thing' attached to my liverock. It is black & it has a head like a turbo snail. It has a movable mouthpart whereby it feeds. I observed it feeding today when it released some form of mucus out...the mucus captures food in the water like cyclops, etc. When it has caught enough, it would 'reel' in the mucus into its mouth...consuming whatever it has caught. Anyone know what is this cute bugger?
  19. My leather after water change just now seemingly shot some sperm into da water? yuck!
  20. I use coralife too! Used to use red sea salt...but then could'nt stand the heat it generated...so off it went...MUAahHAHaa...
  21. Hmmm...definitely above $10 if I'm not wrong..not exceeding $30... I think would be around $15-$25..
  22. Amputate the eye...it will survive fine with 1 eye Like one of my pipefish with 1 eye. give it a piece of black cloth too.
