  1. The ones that you like? Read up on them before buying.
  2. Yes you can. Just make sure it gets eaten. If not it will simply decompose like all other food will.
  3. I agree! Waiting for Danano to frag his acros when they grow too big.
  4. Not bleached...that is the color in the first place. Yellow goniopora...some tissue died off...as my tank was overgrown with algae during the first 1-2 months...and some algae smothered part of it...oh well..been with me for about 6 months already (inclusive of the time spent in my past marine tank)
  5. Ok..last one...dun want take up too much bandwidth... Red sea fan...after few mins upon dropping frozen cyclops in the water.
  6. Poor photo..but anyway Jann's pipefish in front.. Boxing crab behind.
  7. My anemone shrimp pair hitching a ride on my black sea cucumber!
  8. Bottom...pipe organ coral... right..star polyp.. left..my bulletproof bubble top....a red algae i love very much that just sprouted from my liverock.
  9. Goniopora...I know it's hard to keep...ssshhh.
  10. Red sponge...my harlequin with his blue linka (used to be)...and the lobster in the background.
  11. My tank is about 5-6 months old running chillerless...without a sump. Running on 2 canisters...Azoo venturi skimmer (6-7 years old that it has coralline algae growing in it) clipped on in the tank. Lighting...3 normal white NEC FLs...1 actinic...will be upgrading to T5s soon. Water parameters : Did'nt really bother myself with them...but I feed very very frequently. pH, kH and calcium should be ok...I'm dosing kalkwasser and reef builder. Only thing uncertain is my nitrates. Have'nt bought a Salifert test kit yet. Ok...here a few pics I took. Pardon my poor photography skills...my digital camera is 2 years old.
  12. Hey....I got the same red buttons....but under my lighting they look more towards reddish brown.
  13. One thing to note...seahorses wun like strong lighting.
  14. Copperband IMO harder to get to feed. Long nose butterfly would be easier...Used to keep one that ate bloodworms on the first day i brought it home.
  15. Get those fish oil capsules containing DHA...good for marine fish.
  16. I find hammers more demanding...that's my personal opinion. Other people might have different views...
  17. Try reducing ur SG...I've heard of ppl reducing SG to 1.018..but I'm not sure if that would be safe in your tank. You can reduce it to 1.020 first while you look for more opinions...try increasing your water temperature to 28-29 degrees celcius to speed up life cycle of ich parasite.. If you want to risk medication...you could try myxazin or octozin by waterlife...I have used it personally..no side effects...ML carries it.. Good luck Oh yes..yep..the garlic went direct in my tank and into my tang.
  18. Not sure if they can actually eat the ich parasite itself...imo the parasite would be too small for CS to consume...although they might puncture the cysts of ich causing premature release of the ich parasites which might be unable to attach to a host... Or they might work by cleaning up infected areas on the skin....leading to faster healing of damaged skin.... Not sure how it works..just my wild conjectures.
  19. Put them in da fridge (NOT freezer) They will last longer as their metabolic rates slow down.
  20. Hmmm..from my experience I find that between bubbles and hammers...hammers seem to react more negatively to higher water temperatures in the long run...bubbles are'nt really affected. Hammers also seem more prone to tissue receding.
  21. IMO best not to add anything. Even corals sometimes have the cysts of parasites on them. Anyway..amazing why ur maroon is died faster compared to your yellow tang? Does your yellow tang have white spot? Can cut 2-3 small bead sized garlic for it. It will eat them. Should recover soon. Worked for mine...next day spots gone!
  22. Hi Danano..nice meeting you during the BBQ just now... Tanks and owners go hand in hand....very presentable.
  23. 600 divided by 12 = 50 50 times $10 = $500 Wow...$500 worth of snails...
  24. Bubble more hardy...it is easily said to be the damsel of LPS corals. I have one colony at home that has been with me for about 3-4 years already under moderate lighting...during which it got unwillingly involved in the later stage of cycling in my new tank..whereby it bleached transparent....but now...it has regained its color to browish green.
