  3. Just bought a packet of live mysis shrimp from WC...dumped the whole packet into my tank...now my tank is swarming with mysis...guess I won't need to feed my fishes for the next 3 days.... My scooter blennies and pipefish are going crazy after them...even my evil yellow tang. MuaHAhaa...invasion of the mysis!
  4. I'm gonna pump my sandbed with clams once I get my lighting pumped up to T5s.. Anyway..my water depth only 16 inches. SpiderOne>>>what type of clams the cheapest? maxima or crocea?
  5. WOw...nice specimens..really feel like wrapping them up in wrapping paper and using a ribbon to secure them.
  6. How possibly could damsels die in the sump? They are the living dead.
  7. Erm...not sure...Think 8-9 it should still be open...Cause heard of ppl going there during night time to choose clams from the last clam shipment...not sure after that...
  8. Wow..suddenly I just discovered this...btw...I am 21 already.
  9. Just go jln besar and look for ppl to make the whole hood for you...just provide them with the dimensions..and the ballasts and end caps and I think you should have no problem. Worst come to worst approach a LFS.
  10. Wonder why some stainless steel stuff will still end up rusty.....
  11. Remember what Morgan said about Nerites...they are evil and they will try to escape. That's why you can spot them on the breakwater just above the water level.
  12. Went Langkawi a few years back...remember picking up a black sea cucumber while waddling in the sea..after which I stepped on some darn barnacles...and upon reaching the shore...I felt something tugging below my feet...looked below my feet..and saw my skin hanging...then blood started to ooze..and the pain....wonder why I did'nt feel anything in seawater.. Lesson learnt..never walk barefoot in the sea.
  13. Not sure if they still have..the last time I went was like last thursday..they had only about 6-8 snails lefT? Ah? Those at ECP are nerite snails? I used to catch those for my pufferfish....
  14. Ah? It was edited? Oh...tot it actually happened...I was thinking...why would woonming have a mask like that? LoL...
  15. Sounds like diatoms...Common during the maturing of your tank...there are many algae cycles that a tank will go thru...given time and patience..they should go away..
  16. Tropical lobsters don't need 22....I've got one happily living at 27-28 degrees.
  17. Does'nt it remind you of a ninja?
  18. I think you meant NO3 less than 20...not NH3.. The lighting seems sufficient to me..you should see the type of lighting I am keeping my jewel goniopora under...and yet it still expands into a balloon...The longest extended polyp I measured was 16cm. Sometimes corals bleach when they are suddenly exposed to a level of lighting they are not used to. Insufficient lighting for will not cause ur coral to bleach...my guess is that your light literally burned the zooxanthellae out of ur goniopora...try reducing the light level over the goniopora with a shade. See if it helps.
  19. Went PR last week..they had cerith snails..not sure if still available
  20. ..........6000 Watts!?!?!?!? You can use that for suntan already...
  21. HuH? Spanish dancers eat blue sponge? Then why are'nt they blue? Nudibranchs usually acquire their color from the food they eat...Eg..lettuce nudibranchs are green cause they eat algae..
  22. Wow...3 feet tank and 80 gallons? It must be a very wide and high tank.
  23. Confusing....nice tank I must say... If I were you I would try getting the fishes from another source. The main thing about keeping fishes alive is to get healthy specimens...don't get any with shallow tummies..or with any scars or torn fins..or those that are breathing heavily..sure signs of problems..
