  2. hEY! Finally someone identified that shrimp...I have it in my 4 feet tank..somemore..added it about 2 weeks ago..havent seen it since...sigh..the thing with small buggers.
  3. Hehe...yep..confirm NO3...erm..not sure if can be used in saltwater though... Maybe you can check with ppl working in the food control dept. from ava?
  4. There are digital ones that test for NO3...but those are used in food testing...saw it at one of the AVA branches once... really sophisticated machine...can test for other things too.

  6. Wah lao...I was there today but din see any I-box.. if I had known it was going for $100 I would have got it already. Possible to reserve 1 for me and I get it after aquarama? Entrance fee $8... ;(..
  7. OMg...should'nt u be the least worried when your fishes start dying? And you just go and buy more fish...omg..btw..it's fire goby..not fire goblin. Since you have left your tank for 3 weeks...i suggest you remove ur damsels if you want to add any other fish. Damsels will wack the poo out of any new fishies. In a 2 feet tank..I would'nt go more than 4 damsel sized fishes. Pls add fish slowly..one fish a week.
  8. Wow...wat a waste to sell such a nice emperor angel...if would'nt sell it at all costs if i were you..
  9. I tried that before...but in the end i still ended up replacing the stand. But my stand was 10 yrs old..so it's another story.
  10. I was there this evening around 5 with my dad...saw SpiderOne..At..Morgan and flubberina.. Only bought freeze dried cyclops and a tin of spirulina. I wanted to buy a pack of frozen cyclops they had outside in the fridge...like what I did last aquarama...but they actually said someone actually reserved everything. That kunniang! What a selfish profit-minded jerk. Anyway..I found the last aquarama more interesting..this time abit boring. And to think people still showcase parrotfish injected with color dye...the incident which greatly put me off last aquarama...and not to mention the crowding of clownfish into tanks with freshwater aquarium gravel...just like some reef showtank in serangoon north using freshwater aquarium gravel as substrate. Anyway...my 162 watts of T5s are up and running already...lucky din go for 216 watts...162 watts already blinding me...illuminating the whole of my living room. Can literally leave the living room lights off at night.
  11. You mean alot of 50%(s)...lol
  12. Rabbitfish are venomous..be careful when ur hands r near their spines.
  13. Give it lots of current. If not it will start rotting from there
  14. I would give the dottyback back to the LFS...an evil dottyback will always be evil.
  15. Btw..if using razor blades....be VERY careful near the siliconed joints.
  16. What is a clown tang? If you meant clown surgeon..they have very poor survival rate in captivity.
  17. It's not a starfish...it's a featherstar..common name..scientifically it's called a crinoid. Belongs to the phylum echinodermata. Same phylum as sea stars and urchins. Live zooplankton is an important factor in their survival. Forget phytoplankton..it's useless when used alone.
  18. Add some curry leaves to them..and sauter them for 10 mins..
  19. Snail in a bivalve of some sort. *hint : look below the red dot of coralline algae*
  20. Rebo** got a few small ones. I prefer small ones The larger ones seem abit more drab dun they?
  21. Heard from someone high phosphates in your water might make fish lose their colour...not sure how true is that...but no harm in trying to remove phosphates..help to reduce algae growth too. Anyway..yellow boxfish generally fade in colouration as they grow bigger.
